Little princess with one of the royal guard dogs.

Here are some sketches and studies for an image I'm doing for the Skillshare online class "Introduction to Character Design: Know Your Basics" with the excellent Mike Butkus.

Nice sketchbook man. I like how you put the basic shapes in perspective and those little girls sketches look cool.
    Keep it up!

A few more sketches and studies.

@Ebag - Thanks a lot! Yeah, I dig skeletons and the inside machinery of creatures. Industrial Design is also awesome.. something I would like to spend more time doing.

@razvanb08 - Thank you! Yeah, will struggle on.. would be nice to be able to produce so much nice studies as you do though.. need to pick up the pace a bit :-)

Hey Cronberg very nice studies. I can't crit as they all look good to me. I like the humour of the little girl with the BIG dog. Did you finish that one? As always I look forward to seeing more.

Hey Marian! Nice to hear from you!

I saw in your thread that you still pump out a lot of stuff and continuously learn. Inspiring stuff!

Thanks a bunch for your kind words. As for the girl with the dog, that's my project for the Mike Butkus class on Skillshare. I'm hoping to be able to work a bit more on it and do some rendering (maybe not colors though) before May 1st.

Here are some more figure studies. Trying to deviate a bit from the refs (Quickposes).

That's cool I did Mike's Skillshare as well. I haven't got very far with mine or posted it yet but I really liked what Mike did. I wish you luck as I really like it.

    A few more studies.

Ok, I hope you get time to finish yours. Thanks a lot, I'm thinking about how to wrap my sketch up. Nothing more to show of it as of now, but hopefully in a week.

Yeah, me too. It was very interesting to see (and hear) the man himself at work!
