DanielC - Thankyou so much Daniel! Yep I do ship books to the US, let me know if you want one, and tell all your friends hah.

Eponine - Thankyou
I have been painting a wall of a new shop...it's finished now but I don't have photos of the finished product. I was a bit disappointed but everyone else liked it so I suppose that's ok...first time painting a wall...or anything bigger than a small canvas.

first of all congratz on getting the magazine spread, im really starting to appreciate the uniqueness of your work; the line quality, the colour and the originality is refreshing.

Great to see you posting again. Always a pleasure to look at your work. A new sketchbook seems to be a good idea based on how your career seems to be taking off. Inspiring to see someone so young doing so well!

I've seen both of those, damn it! Still love them though. The squid one really reminds me of videos of Octopuses vs Sharks, such as this one
I'd love to know more about your progress with some of these... like how you come up with the idea and how you layout, etc. What type of paint did you use for that wall painting? Looks good to me.

Sketch - Thanks mate. I'll get some process stuff up soon ey! I used interior house paint for that wall painting, got a bit nitpicky in some places so it didn't turn out how I wanted (edges etc).
Ok here is a doodle and also something that wasn't used for it's initial purpose.

Hey Buddy, I love that grey scale piece... nice contrast to the bright colours in your other work.
I love the look of the second one but there are some perspective and balance issues I'm seeing with it. I think it's mainly with the tail... it makes the picture look really flat. The look of the character is awesome though.

Mattias - Thanks friend! Glad you came by
Sketch - Thankyou man! The second image may seem out of balance because it was originally for a CD cover, and there was text in the blank areas. I'll keep in mind the fact you think it may look flat when I draw my next!

Wow, that is some wonderful line art and the characters are right up my alley.
You should switch to working with brushes completely. It has so much more live and flow compared to the pieces that seem to be done with pen. Also some of the pictures seem to have too many colors for my taste. I've looked through your website as well and it seems that in those instances where you toned down the colors a bit (especially the saturation) the illustrations work better. Even if you like you using a lot of colors I'd suggest keeping the saturation down to keep it from being too distracting. That way you would still have the option of directing focus by using one brighter and more highly saturated color...
