hey y'all! here's the sketch that I did for the figure painting that I think turned out the best at the next-gen atelier... that carpet was insane to draw and double tough to paint... but it was satisfying to complete. I'll be photographing the oil painting soon and posting it up in finally finished! oh and that's dirty c in the background for anyone who was wondering

That figure drawing is absolutely gorgeous. The anatomy, the rendering, and the foreshortening, all great. What I like most about it is the sense of simplicity; no overrendering or overemphasizing any feature.

Your work has been such a revelation for me. Truely beautiful pencils and speedpaints. The dark colours and half lost forms with those small patches of light... I've been wandering around in the dark and now I suddenly realise I should have been sitting down in the dark and taking in what I see!

Hope you keep this new regular update thing going.

Very inspiring sketchbook! Beautiful color studies too!
Do you have any advice for getting better results with colors?

anyway, here's some shit.. I sometimes prefer my sloppy sketchey shit to my tighter silly colors.. not sure why, but it's something i need to think about more.
Wow, I just checked out your whole sketchboook, and there are some seriously great pieces in there. Nice. It's too bad you come off as a complete douch nozzle. Ahh well. Good luck with the clap.

Omelmahey: I'm sorry. I'm not very good at showing sarcasm. The fact of the matter is that I don't sleep with a lot of girls and I spend most of my time working. I have this thing where I have to actually like someone before I sleep with them. I don't exactly sling it around. My already shitty joke just got worse by explaining it. I apologize for the poor communication earlier. Please don't think of me as a douche nozzle
