about your SP, the first second i saw it i had the feeling you took your left eye and turned it upside down and made it your right. The reason it may look better up side down is perhaps because of the eyelashes. You seem to have more volume of eyelashes at the bottom than the top (only with your right eye tho). Perhaps change that and see if it feel different?
Nice job tho, the environments are looking awesome as always

Thanks Lav, you're right about the eyes , thanks !

Here's an environment I'm doing for the Kitchen RPG project. Very wip, but comments are always helpful! I'm trying to go for a cloudy rainy day.

damn too much lurking and no posting on my side the last few months

great job , i see improvement each time i visit your SB

I'm in love with these thumbnails http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...postcount=1022 maybe try polishing them a bit more and add a few more attributes like a belt but next to that i think they are pretty strong designwise

Also great paints, the photostudy i would try to keep the pure white highlights for the end so they can be used for an extra push towards realism in the end.

Keep up the great work ^^

I busy with commissioned work at the moment but I found some time to work further on my last environment:

And a speedpaint of a weird face . Things feel wrong. I think it's the proportions. I should work more from reference.

wow those traditional thumbs at the beginning of your thread are flipen awesome. You definitely have a skill for doing enviros. Your starting to develop a great understanding of atmosphere in those paints. Also your working really hard on those figures and portraits keep that up heaps of progress there.

Nice atmosphere. How did you do the roof? Is that a texture?

    Hey man good stuff again!
    Like the enviro!

The face is a little strange hawhaw
    The eyes are enormous!
So if you would size those down a bit, make the chin/jaw come a little forward..
And it will look a lot better i think

ANyway! Keep up the good work!

Hi fudgeloaf, thanks a lot mate !

I finished my EOW entry. I included some steps :

I started with building a 3D scene in 3DS Max so it would be easier to set a nice composition.
    Name: 3dsmax.jpg
Views: 643
Size: 176.5 KB

Render of the finished scene. I also rendered everything separately on layers so it would be much simpler to adjust the colour, texture, ... of the different assets in the scene.
    Name: glow.jpg
Views: 635
Size: 166.7 KB

I wanted to go for a happy mood, children playing with their grand-father, the King.
    Name: hall.jpg
Views: 638
Size: 261.1 KB
    Name: hall2.jpg
Views: 627
Size: 313.0 KB

I had to change the whole idea though because I was running out of time so I chose for a more easier approach. "A mad King finally succeeds making contact with outer space".
    Name: hall3.jpg
Views: 632
Size: 343.3 KB

Adding more details to the scene and trying to make it less '3D scene' looking. Final.

Hi Hanne, cool animation ! I'm working as a freelance artist now. Here are some works

I'm glad I'm allowed to share some commissioned work. My task was to make zoo enclosure visuals. The sketches were done by Jason Skitterall, it was my task to colour them up. Check out his website here!

I love the zoo concepts! I'm working on something similar at the moment. If you don't mind me asking, how did you create the fencing?

Hi HAJiME , thanks! You can create a simple raster (I also rotated it), then you can put it in perspective. Hope this helps !

    Haha thanks Lav !

I'm happy that I can share some commissioned work. I was asked to design a fantasy world inside a vault. I also designed the logo.

And a shot of the environment:
