u are improving very fast nice sketchbook
Hello my friend.
Are you 17 now, or was 17 three years ago when you started this sketchbook?
Cause I read that info about you in your first post.
Real interesting ship designs on the first pages of your sketchbook, looks
like you are really into designing your own airplane or jet. Real detailed designs
as a matter of fact, and I like them. I have only started to study now, what
you studies three years ago, now I can see how much I am behind you. We are
using some of the same books. Nice weapon and character designs you have
on the pages 4 and 5, however anatomy knowledge was still lacking there.
Well, actually it is not much use for me to crit these drawings and paintings
from three or two years ago, I am just browsing through them, and I am
amazed how consistent you were through the years. #602 your movie studies
are awesome, good brushwork.
#663 - #666 I definitely like this pinup painting. This is the style I fancy.
#703 Soulcraft renderings are outstanding, your creativity is improving.
#851 - These environments are mindblowing, especially the green with
#919 - The car concept is just WOW
Last EOW - that ship chamber is great
and the last movie stills are nicely done.
You have a massive amount of posted material on these 33 pages and I
am amazed. Most of them I did not even had a chance to study out more
properly, but generally what I saw that you are a real hard worker and that
whatever your goals are, you will be achieving them sooner or later.
There are always place for improvements of course, like for example, never
stop studying anatomy, perspective, lighting and coloring.
Surely impressed with your work amount. Will try to follow from now on my
Maybe I should give you a 4 and change it to 5
Incredible improvement since your first post. Keep em coming.

Thanks for the support timo. !
Hi LtPlissken, thanks mate, I will !
Today I had only time for this movie study:
I also changed my portfolio a bit. You can visit it here (http://www.linodriegheart.com) . Crits are welcome, like what pieces are you missing or maybe which pieces are less stronger in comparison with the rest.

Wow. In your paint it looks like you mirrored his face. Keep practicing volume control.
Shit you practice a lot. I think I'll have to check out your SB more often. Your blog depresses me because it's full of goodies :p Nice site btw.
Your book is a pleasure to look at Lyno, looking forward to you blazing the trail in the EOW's!!
Keep doing you

Ohla, why haven't I heard of RisingRock 'till now?!
Keep it up with the incredible work!
Really good stuff man. I think the round brush stuff looks really good, but it would be worth getting some REALLY hard edges in there to contrast with all the softness going on. Atm all the edges are pretty fuzzy. You could pull in some really focus with some hard edges.
Keep up the good work!
Woho booby-time. Love most of the volumes, but sometimes I feel they get too a little too round for my feel, especially the boob that's turned away from the camera.
(E.g second page, middle; page 4, second f.)
Bytheby, where are all those poses from? Taking modelling classes?
Great movie studies! Your figures look kinda stiff and unnatural though. Maybe drawing with unerasable media would help.

reallly nice to see you work so hard on the facial construction.. really getting the basics down and grounded inside ur brain.. pounding it in there is the best way to remember it..
And definatly doing these 'basic forms' will help you so much with everything else eventually
Since everything can be simplified to boxes, spheres etc..
Keep up the good work, those concepts look promissing!
I really like your head, element and figure studies! your improving quickly! no crits here.. other than work hard and keep it up!
