    A Warhammer Army

Hi guys! Well my recent Lounge thread got moved here so I thought I'd clear the Lounge replies by starting a new thread. This thread will track the progress of my Orcs and Goblins Warhammer Fantasy Battles army and soon my Warhammer 40,000 Necron army which I have yet to get the stuff for.

    Onto pictures:

    The Warboss

A Boss for a unit of Orcs

The Standard bearer for the same unit

    Chariot

This isn't yet quite finished, most notably the Boars to pull it.

The first five Orcs in the unit

Note that the Orc on the far right in picture 1 is the same as the on on the far left on picture 2.

And that's it for now. I will update every now and then.
So what do you guys think?

Looks alright so far, but your greens should have more depth. Try highlighting (assuming you're using GW colors) DA Green up to Snot green, and mixing in some Rotting Flesh for a final highlight before applying the inks. I would also thin the inks a little, I can see the dotting effect happening - IE where the ink pools/bubbles and creates spolotches and rings in the final product. Apply it thinner and in more layers, it will really help make the ink stay only in the recesses and make the model pop.

I'd also be more careful when picking out the teeth. Try to stabilize your wrists together (i'd have to take a picture) and breathe steady when applying the paint to these babies, those details are tiiiiiiiny, especially on the Fantasy Orcs and Goblins.

Can't wait to see your 'crons. Maybe I'll throw some of my Chaos up here. Last time I did that I was yelled at cuz' it "wasn't really sculpting to convert".

    KEEP PAINTING

Boss you should scrape off those mold lines! They really detract from the overall quality of the figures.

Yeah I noticed the mouldlines too late because when i started painting them a few years ago I never thought about them. From now on however all the things I paint will have no mouldlines.
