Want To Get Better and Never really went to School for Art or anything but i'd like to get better at what i do ....anyways check out some stuff that id like to share ...
In the first drawing, the figure to the right could be made to look more three dimensional by not outlining the nose. Instead use shading to show where the nose leaves off and the cheek behind it begins. If you want your guy to look like a cartoon character, then the outlining might not be so bad, but if you want him to look true to life then try shading. Pencils are really nice because they will allow you to do some really smooth shading.
I'm no Graff aficionado, but it looks pretty tight to me. The figure however, do look flat, as if they were drawn from photo reference.
Try doing drawings from life instead of from photos- there is (basically) very little to be learned from photos that you can not learn from life. If you are having trouble figuring out what to do, do this.
Get a folding chair. Go outside your house, walk for five minutes. sit. Paint whatever your eye sees. no questions asked. Just paint it.
