I'd like to show 2 of my recent works.
Geisha: It's more or less an excuse to paint another forest
Rain: I did this picture originally in 3d, around 6 years ago. I was happy with it at the time but it got really old by now. So - I decided to rework it and made a painting on top (original was black & white).
I hope You'll enjoy these!
I love the vibrant colors in the forest.
Great work. The first one is very impressive
Thanks a lot for sharing
man...your stuff is completely badass...I'm extremely impressed
View My Portfolio: I'll return the favor.
You make me melt inside with those beautiful autumn leaves. Love the colours!
Keep it up!
Beware, it's a crappy Sketchbook.
"We are all heroes! You and me and Boo..."
I love the set-up of the topic. It's like the first one is full of repetitive yet effective detail while the second was done really quickly, the details being made up of lots of little scribbles. This results in two pieces, one taking a long time and the other done quickly. Perfect contrast!
But before I complete that assumption, is this the case?
The second - is that rushing water in the distance?
Thanks for such positive comments!
Max: That's true, Geisha took quite a while to complete, I was aiming for a vast and rich forest. Rain was done in around 12 hours and I didn't want to go further with details on this one.
What You see in the second pic at distance was just meant to be a rain. The street catches more light in the distance and You can see rain drops in the light.
Foreground is in shadow.
Roidvoid: Here's the 3d base I started from:
I would hang up the first one on my wall
I like 'em! that forest one is a visual feast. So much vibrant colour and the composition works perfectly with that white.
The rain one looks nice, I like the foreground the most. I think it gets too white too soon. In some ways loosing the gloomy mood in the render, which has more depth though your painted version does have a lot more energy that I can feel the intensity of a down pour.
thanks for showing them!
the colors in the first one are wonderful, and I like how you reworked the second piece.
great stuff all around

Absolutely beautiful paintings.
I do have a slight gripe with the first one, though.
The minuscule geisha gives a sense that forest is not a regular forest, but one made of giant plants. Even the shrubs and bushes are as big as her.
I understand this may have been intentional.
Wow, I didn't expect such a response, thanks!
chobomaster: I did Geisha in 8k resolution for fine detail and I intend to do some prints one day, I'd like to see it big on the wall too!
Jezelf: You're right. Now that I look at both versions I see I blew out things at distance more then they are in 3d version. I may step in and fix that
Kir Nuyts: Yep, i'm the concrete guy .
Conpurse: It's hard to say for Geisha one, I started it almost a year ago and was doing it on and off until a week ago or so. I think it could have been 5 working days when put together (if not more). As for rain - 3d picture was done from the content I created for a music video I did as art student so it's hard to say how long it took. But the painting phase took around 12 hours of work.
Hunter Killer: Geisha was more real size in the beginning but it seemed a bit weak to me, I mean the contrast between her and the forest. I agree it doesn't look real but I think the forest looks more "powerful" this way. I had the "impression" of the picture in my head while doing this and was just trying anything to get this feeling in finished picture. I count on the better effect when it's printed in large size like B1 (100x70cm). Geisha shouldn't be so small then and the forest should become even more spacious.
The Geisha is now my wallpaper. Thank you very much. Beautiful.
The Geisha painting gives me this fantastic mystical feeling, with the enormity of the forest contrasting the small geisha figure. I like how the light at the top of the trees then draws my eyes down to the ground to see her figure standing at the forest path, and then i start looking around the image taking in all the colors and details. Only crit/idea would be to throw in some foreground elements to really push the depth of the image.
The rain image is also very nice. Not as colorful as the first, but still has a lot of little "muddy" details. It was cool to see your original 3d base for the updated painting... I have to agree with previous comments that the image goes to white a little to quickly and also leads me to wonder if it is raining while the sun is still out. Normally the cloud cover from the rain would prevent the light from being as bright as its portrayed.
I enjoyed your worked. Thanks for sharing.
Awwww.... the autumnal forest with the little geisha in between.
I listened to a yoga-cd today and made a small dreamjourney... and this is nearly exactly what I saw on my path *.*
I always dream of the autumn, and most times in asian areas.
Your picture awoke niiiiice feelings in me. Thank you
First one definitely grabs my attention! Really sweet colors to set mood. Comp is good and scale feels nice. It could be more interesting to add in foreground elements to really give a sense of depth. I think that is about it for now. Thanx for posting. xD
DEAMN THAST FREKING AWEXZOME!!! no but seriusly...love the style, color, atmospher and well ermn..everyrthing, post more plxorx
