hp: Thanks! One day I'll be able to do straight lines... I hope...

fountain takes its first steps in 3d. Plus a couple of DSG's I did as break.

You wouldn't mind telling me where you learned how to design architecture (like the fountains)? I need to do some environment stuff some more.

PS: I like your painting your quite good at it, the only thing that really needs improvement are your faces from imagination. Although they are still pretty good but just not as good as your environment stuff ya know?

My observational skills may be great but i said nothing about my drawing skills

Hey man - I like all the new stuff. Overall it looks like your painting has reached a new level.

Personally, I think you should spend more time on that 1st DSG - the irony really grabbed me. Because, the victor's body language is iconic and solemn, but then you see the massive gun he used. Maybe you could exaggerate it with some more gore on the loser, as if he was really ripped apart. Maybe only part of his face is left. Some brains?

I also like the horse peacefully grazing in the background.

    My57 & zhiao: Thanks!

Incinerated: hehe... I've been trying to develop a 3d portfolio piece, and haven't had time to update. Now that the fountain is done I'll resume painting/updating. Thanks!

    ====

First of all, 2 versions of the fountain. Followed by doodles and SP's and DSG's... pretty random mix.

Sorry for the large image size... I'll resize later when I have time.

The Cooking Wii game I've been working on has come out and I posted some images here: http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=173094 . saving this link here as some sort of an archive

planning to go back to focusing on pencil for a while, now that I feel much more comfortable with digital painting. Time to go back to the paper sketch book days My laptop bit the dust though, so no scanner for a while. Posting some digital lunch doodles for DSG for now.

Your making a lot of progress NB, I like the 3D material. And you're doing a great job in the DSG. I want to build a team for the upcoming team Chow, would you be interested in joining?

Tommoy: thanks Hope we get to work together next time!

Bendragon: Thanks! It's fun trying to draw architecture stuff from imagination. I got myself a shiny new book on product design and am now practicing lines. Hopefully I'll soon be able to focus on the fun, imaginitive stuff rather than worrying about my lines all the time, hehe.

Kuidf^!: Thank you very much, will do

Back from my 2-week trip to China. I brought my tablet PC but couldn't do very many outdoor paintings because I forgot just how cold it gets in northern China in the winter... I'll post some digital sketches later. Here are some doodles on the plane from copying newspaper caricature and a couple of in-flight movies, as well as just some random ink doodle. I need to get more comfortable concepting by hand without light boxes, that's for sure.

Dang! I love the way you vary your work!!

Your architectural designs from this and the other pages are well done, detailed, and i can't sense one flow in your perspective. Your ellipses are so good too.
Your sense of colour is also nice. (this one and this one really cot my attention)

Thank you for boosting my motivation level up and for inspiring me!!
Good luck onwards and have a merry christmas!

BlackDelphin: Hey, thanks so much! The "flawless perspective" comes from painting over 3d block-in's I would very much like to become one of the badasses who can free-hand it in the near future.

Beelow: Welcome to the team! Really glad to have you join us. Looking forward to what we'll be able to rock out!

mcunha98: Thanks for the kind words! I don't think I'm one of the very talented people, but the good thing about art is if you do it you get better, surely if not as quickly as we all would like.

Been kind of hibernating. Here are the promised digital sketches from my trip, observational or studies from an awesome book I bought called "Created Equal". Also adding a SP for the new year! First digital sketch of 2010 Happy new year folks. P.S: Art Rage 3 rocks my socks off!

I've really enjoyed looking through your SB. Boy, do you work hard!

I didn't think it was possible to be called an artist when you have nothing to say. It's like being a writer who publishes individual words as books and expects to be praised for it.

Black Spot: haha thanks! I'm not painting as much as I should in my spare time... still trying to figure out a balance now that I paint for a living. Definitely takes some adjustment to keep painting as a hobby as well.

That's when you can real fun and do everything you can't at work. No pressure - bliss. Go wild.

Ameniatha: Thanks! Haha, I'm not as productive as many of the artists here actually. Need to work harder!

Black Spot: But I get to go wild at work too, and the line is fast-blurring, hehe.

Capital G: Thanks! That piece was a mixture of much headache and a great deal of learning.
