Thank you for sharing all these amazing pieces. Your work is very inspirational and a joy to look at. Even though you draw "action" so well, my favorite piece was the Thunderbolts #117 cover. Just plain awesome man!

Good work. Figures and rendering are, as always, outstanding. composition fluid, dynamic, and presenting clear powerful narratives. color scheme always well balanced. But at times they look a bit, well, plastic.

if I had the chance to hang some of your work on my walls, I'd still take your old Degenesis, He-man, parasitic moon, and MB sketches over anything here. maybe I'm just prejudiced against the marvel characters because I didn't grow up with them. I remember an interview in which you were asked for your opinion of American comics and you said something to the effect that macho action figures running around in primary colored spandex didn't interest you. I'm not trying to make an issue of it, but I feel the same way.

Don't get me wrong, some of these really make me want to pick up a pen or a brush, but not as strongly as the old stuff. I understand that this is Marvel's work, their characters and stories for the most part, hey we've all got to make a living. I'm just waiting for when Marko's characters and stories come back.
    Keep it up
    Cheers

it`s amazing how someone like marko creates great covers and in such huge numbers.i lost track of the american comic industry a while ago but i don`t recall someone being able to make 90 kick-ass covers in one year.
but on the other hand i kinda feel sorry for him being constantly under deadline-pressure and probably not having time to do some personal work...
cause i would love to see the non-industry side of marko.
but as i have said: bow and kiss the glow
nothing but admiration from my side

    najbolji si marko, stvarno
    pozdrav

    Amazing pieces of art !!

Also keep up your good work

The single best thread ever created on CA.org...

Hell, the single best thread ever created on any digital art forum, anywhere, at any point in time. Seriously, show me something better; show me something that comes close.

Bravo, Marko. You raise the bar. Cheers to '08!

    Thumbs up

Damn, you're freakin' awesome! I'm not even a big fan of Daredevil, and you just made me like him that much more. Whoever says you did an injustice to these characters (apart from Stan Lee) should be shot. Keep going! *pats on the back*

I have been away from Conceptart for a while now and this thread reminded me why I spent so much time here in the first place. I am truly glad I came back to see this.

So much I recognise from the shelves that stood out at the time. Thanks for posting and rekindling one old boy's interest again.

Here is a post that is as close to perfection as a post can get. These are just plain remarkable! I love every one. The pencils are great too. All I'd like to see is WIPs of some of these (that sentence rhymes when you read it aloud). I'd love to see how you lay down your underpainting and build in your detail. Is there somewhere we can go to see your process? It'd be an understatement to say that I could learn a lot from seeing your process.

Wow, well you have indeed proven that you are a busy man. After seeing all that, I'm not sure whether to be motivated or demotivated. With so much done I would surely hope to be getting paid quite well
    Very nice, thank you.
