    Quick bust and first wax

Here is a few shots of the stuff I haven been working on.

The first guy who I have dubbed the Fatman, is just a quick sketch made of good ol' SS. As with my previously posted Watermellon man, I am not really aiming for refinment, just trying to capture a feeling.

The second image I don't believe needs any clarification as to the identity of what it will become, mind you it is still in the very, early early stages. It is my first voyage into the world of wax sculpting and things are going very well. I am using 360 wax purchased for Gary over at the clubhouse forum and the stuff is a dream to work with. It is slightly difficult to get use to due to the learning curve of wax and the fact I don't have some of the proper tools but i am getting the hang of it. I mostly love the fact that I don't need to use an armature with the wax.

As always, C&C are most welcome if not encouraged.

    Cheers

PS: IF you by change do not know what the second image is suppose to become its H.R. Gigers Alien, you can tell because, as with all of Giger's work, it happens to be shaped like a penis.

yeah, quite expressive, and i also like it rough as it is!
I have never tryed wax myself, and i`m wondering how big the differences to
polymer may be.. Think you smooth it with heat? (heated tools?, brush??)
And why don`t you need an armature? Sounds very interesting..
