    Cow Beginners Sketchbook

Let me start by introducing myself, I'm Nora, 19 years old and just recently started drawing again. As a kid I always wanted to be a cartoonist for Disney but gave up on drawing due to lack of good resources. Anyways haven't drawn since I was about 10 so its taking a while getting into it again. Right now I want to learn concept art so I can improve web design which I'm really into as well. I'd love to hear tips from you guys!

The first thing I'm going to post is a bug I made with my tab.. due to lack of sketchbook and scanner I'll be using that for now.
I'll update this sketchbook daily so I can stay motivated.

edit: added an attempt to draw a foot..

Been working on the face a little after reading the whole anatomy thing.
Nothing fancy.. it resembles a face so that's a huge start for me
Still having trouble with the nose though.. that's why he/she/it is noseless in the first pic.

Studying is great but don't overdo it. Draw because you like it, not because you have to. After getting the basics done you can start studying so you don't miss anything.

    Keep on working!

Thanks MorteM. I do love drawing.. just trying to learn more about it so I don't spend my entire life drawing weird creatures hehe.

Anyways, had to format the computer + recovering from a really bad cold so I haven't really drawn anything these last few days.
I did doodle a little today.. here it is still need to work on the crooked eye..

    Cow

Phew.. haven't posted in a really long time because I was really busy.
I recently figured out that I never even installed the tab to work like a pen.. its so much easier now that its installed right.. I feel so stupid

Anyways, I've been practicing the nose.. I still find it annoying but its no longer a balloon popping out

The proportions are wrong but I still find it a huge improvement from what I used to draw..

There's certainly a sign of improvement in the latter drawings, but as it's all line work it's a little difficult to tell exactly how much you know. Have you tried getting into the shading of form digitally? If you're looking for help with the human head, there's a guy who did a whole hep of videos on drawing the human head, over on youtube, lemme go see if I can find them...

Here we go! this is the first of the head videos he does: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jDbeN3IyxUM there's a few more after that, and previews of the rest of the series which is available to buy, I believe.
