The looseness of your sketches is so very nice and gives them life and motion. Your colors pop very nicely and are harmonious throughout the composition. Beautiful work.

Sketch,YihyoungLi, and JJacks Thank you very much for the
kind words about my lifedrawings. I do try and keep them loose, although
sometimes I get a bit too messy in doing so,heh.

Yesterday I went out to a greenbelt and painted my one hour painting
    for the day:

OmertAThank ya, I'm touched that I have brought something
fun into your life, even for a moment

Well, every saturday morning I go to a lifedrawing session, and that is
where I have a chance to really paint from the live model.(Fuck, I hate it
when people bitch about the use of turp )

Hey, paintings are looking good. Just tell the people that complain about turp that the stench of the elderly makes you nauseous.

TomHah, yeah. Also, the old ladies near me that disperse cadmium into the air with their pastels make me scared. On another note,
they should probably ban pencils because they can be used to stab people.

Hi KidApe! Argh, it's been too long since I checked up on you

So you've been delving into the world of colour lately! Wonderful experiments and pieces you've been making there. Really different from your lovely charcoal--even though they're still around. Since colour is a very weak area for me, I find it hard to critique to detail. But, I really like what I see and you seem pretty confident already in many of these. Keep exploring, man!

Also, I fell in love with this charcoal piece. Wonderful in every way!

Hey, this latest figure painting is the best one I've seen from you. I like how you're working the calligraphic influence of your charcoal drawings into your paintings. Good job! Keep it up!

AsaBHi there AsaB, great to hear from you again! Yupyup, I'm diving into the world of color, it's a slow process and I feel as if I sometimes take a step forward and then another right back where I was, heh.
I'm psyched that you like my latest works, so I'll continue to keep up both the charcoals and oils
TomThanks man! I guess the charcoal style can be used in paint as well, hehe.
Elf Elf, glad to see ya around again. Thanks for being a fan of the ala prima approach
The_Flying_Dutchman Hey, thank you for opening up my sketchbook. I will continue to keep things loose, so stop by soon.
kidultThank ya for the encouragement, I do need to work my edges.

Well, here is an outdoor painting that I worked on yesterday. Man, there are too many strokes of paint that don't do much, gah. I'll have to step up my game cause I know I can do betta

Nice work man, the color palettes in your paintings are really good. Though I would like to see some of those paintings more 'finished', as in more detailed. They are all kinda loose, which is great, but I'm curious how a more detailed piece would look.^^

    Keep it up!

alesoun I do like the smell of turpentine as it fills a worn, well use studio, especially during a lifedrawing session. It's saddening that others complain about its "hazards". fuck.
Nicky SThanks, yeah my stuff is loose but too messy. I'll try
to further render my pieces, but that will come in time as my thought
    process changes.
I like Alla prima the most, I think that is all I will do from now on:

The more I look at my paintings the more I realize how simple they are,
too simple and not defined enough. Back to work.

I'm sure it's common when one is trying out new media and methods, that feeling of going back and forth. Well, from my point of view, your process is mainly going forwards!

I like that last woman portrait you did, the hue variations and bold strokes make it really interesting. Maybe a little more definition to her eyes would've made her face pop more out, but I'm not complaining! Keep it up
