    self portrait + slimy things

    since my last pic prompted some interesting responses: this is something about how I hate the world and how that bitterness affects my art. Creation=juicy, slimy things I guess.

    monkey: Yeah, I had a hard time getting the right kind of sheen on it. It could do with another pass, but I don't think I'm going to touch this for a while.

    no crits. nice painting. yeah leave the speculars off the organic mass coz it will clash with the overall composure of the piece. it would take away from the attention and the path of the eye to put them in. good call on leaving them out. the sholders on the dude are a lil wonky tho. but its passable. again i love the graphic result you achieved.

    Very nice work! I agree with O.B.X. about leaving the specularity low on those "blob" things. You've got a beautiful result as is. Again, very nice stuff!
