Hey SCP - not too bad thanks yeh it's great to earn a living from something you are passionate about - hard work but rewarding!

You're welcome with the challenges - I find them such a great opportunity to progress your skills while having fun! You'll find I will be adding some pretty interesting ideas for all of the entrants to explore around the 'Dynamic' theme. I hope to see people develop and learn and share ideas and tips

Keep up the good work and remember to keep posting new stuff in your own sketchbook - I plan to drop by when I have the time to say something useful!

See you at the Dynamic Batman challenge soon!

Just to let people know - sorry I haven't posted here in a while but I'm pretty busy and have been focussing the time I do have on running my challenges

More art will be posted sometime soon and I will be taking some time off towards the end of the month too (more time for study and fun art!) - thanks for visiting!

    Hey Abr7man

It has been ages eh! I've been struggling creatively this last while with lots going on and little sleep not to mention nagging illness blah blah - you don't want to know about all that! Thanks for the compliment!

No finished pieces at the moment I'm afraid but I just decided to do a quick lil study from a hogarth book I have lying around

Well when I say 'study'.... hehe

Wow, you have been posting a LOT of stuff! Way to go man! I really like your Thor! It's dynamic, and poignant, hahahah. I do, however, question your posing of that poor fellow Venom. I think it would read better if the legs were switched. It's a hilarious piece, I love the concept! Did they ever team up like that in the comics?
I must say, those stick heroes are wonderful!!!

hey sage nice to see you back - thanks for the compliments and yep 'The Avengers' have been many different matchings of superheros hehe yeh Venom was supposed to be rather distorted as he is attempting to get out of the way of all those guys as fast as possible lol It wasn't an overly serious pic but crits are welcome

hey thanks for dropping by Lilnebo - so glad it makes you smile! I aim to draw with fun and energy first and foremost. Thanks for the comparison with Clochette - she's got some sweet skills goin down with her artworks!

Hope to post some more stuff soon

Perspective and foreshortening sketch in Adobe illustrator. Crazy angles like this are firmly outside of my comfort zone but it's all good practice and fun to stretch myself

    Talking Heya

How you doing man? I was out of the art scene for quite a while now. Im starting up drawing again though, even though most of my supplies still need to be replenished.

Its awesome that you are doing this for SCP. Great job btw. And, I dont know what kinda reality you live in. But, the driver is on the wrong side of the car, J/K. You UK ppl are funny in the brain.

Hey thanks for dropping by - I have replied in your sketchbook

btw - I was doing the perspective stuff for SamC not SCP, although any are welcome to use the examples to learn if they like

Keep rockin everyone - I will be posting here again soonish

Also I now have a PS3! - can't wait to be inspired by MGS4 etc etc

And the Batman+vehicle challenge is now open again! All I'm looking for now is for peoples to submit a pic based on the theme. Once I have 4 or more finished submissions I'll put up a poll (so if you're working on a piece just let me know and i'll wait for you to submit before sorting the poll.

    Ok,

A little update for my neglected SB! Thanks for the encouragement everyone

A study from life and a finished piece as promised (I will be completing your dare soon Sage!)

The study was done in about 2-1/2 hrs in photoshop with the camera on the book in front of me.

the finished piece is for the 'dynamic batman+vehicle challenge' (vote now for your fav!)

That life study was brilliant..... A freakin master piece!
Ok I have advice, you need to push yourself out of that comfort zone!
You do alot of stylized work but I think you need to do studies so that you can give the stylized work a believeable feeling!
Push the work to a more finished level and focus on line and shadow etc
A good person to check out for believeable stylization is clochette, she just rocks that stuff
You totally gotta show more finished studies am throwing your advice right back at ya!
Keep at it and thanks for the constant support! I hope am not harsh I just really wanna push you and see you successed and hopefully encourage like you do to me

    Talking Har har

I have been wondering when we will see a heroic ostrich. Wow.. it took me a while to spell that word, and then i had to correct my spelling?!! Wtf... im getting old.. Anyways.. I have been daydreaming about what a crime fighting / Villainous Flightless Bird would be dishing out to the world. Oh... Bleh...
