Hey Tobba - thanks dude Good comment on the pic but as the commission is complete now I won't be doing more work on those. I'll keep it in mind though thanks!

Ardescoere - by comics I assume you mean my cartoons i.e. the lil pics I did for Gogojojo etc yes? I'm a little confused which of my styles you're referring to but Thanks anyway!

Got inspired to do a quick photo-study of one of many sunset photos I've taken out of my bedroom window! Took about 1.5 hours

    and the ref photo:
    Name: Ref-photo-sunset.jpg

I've also noticed I'm nearing 1000 posts! Hmmm will have to draw something awesome to celebrate!

Fantastic photo study you have there man, the light looks beautiful, and the colour seems more believable than the photo itself! You've added saturation and added more lights/darks to the clouds, really makes the sunset pop more. Just be careful with those rays of light overlapping the clouds, the redness maybe seems a bit out of place.

    Looking awesome so far man.

From the D.F.T.W.D.E.L.L. thread - a little celebration of my 1000th post!

Edit: Sorry BlightedArt - forgot to reply... Thanks dude! I don't think I'll take that study any further but was a great learning experience - I gotta do more! You're right about the redness being a bit over-the-top - all it needs is brightening with more yellow to harmonise (next I should try one of the really fiery sunsets I've photographed out my window!)

Your line work is really confident - nice!
I also really liked your studies - reminds me that I need to do more of that.

Keep it up! Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook.

Hey Thanks for dropping by Ramza - and yeah you and me both, I don't do enough studies! It was a pleasure to check out your sketchbook - you deserve that TAD scholarship!

Trisscar! - Thank you I'll have to post a few more of the sky photos I've taken - I like the sound of so many trees though - study them!

    Hey everybody

Sorry I've not been around for ages - here's a little toon dude ... sketched in ToonBoomStudio of all programs ... guess I planned to make a little animation but decided earning money was probably a better idea so went on youtube and wasted hours there until deciding randomly to see if a png file would have a transparent background on CA.org (woohoo yes it does!) - maybe now it's time to finish for the day I'll get some work done!

lol - keep it real and take care y'all

Cool! You're more than welcome! Now to discuss my fee... Just Kidding!! hahaha was a pleasure to do it for you!

Btw - it that your bike? I love bikes but haven't even had a scooter yet - hoping to get a commission or two big enough to get a small bike/scooter this year. I can't really afford to run a car so it'll be a great way to get around without breaking the bank!

In other news I've really got into Little Big Planet on the PS3 recently and having joined an L.B.P. forum, got into doing a few sigs for my new friends there

Size: 63.5 KB

    And my sig there:

Little Big planet is amazingly creative - hard to work out if it's a game or art tool at times!

Are you kidding! Yeah LBP is an amazing game - I've been playing it for around a year now but recently joined LittleBigNetwork.com which is a great community and place to discover very talented creators. Here is a (rubbish quality sorry) youtube vid teaser I made of one of my levels:

For those who don't know - to create a level of your own in the game you start with a blank level and have a large range of materials with different properties (stone, metal, wood, sponge, etc) that you can place as simple shapes then modify into everything from mountain ranges to cars. moving, gluing, bolting and attaching motor bolts, wobble bolts, dissolve material, switches, powerups and a huge amount more. the ability to adjust, tweak and be creative is mind boggling.

Hey The7Artist7 ... no that is a British Superport Yamaha R6, riden by Ben Wylie, who is currently in the Isle of Man, doing the infamous TT. I am his photographer / Press Officer, and was just sat chilling on it!

I do have a bike though, a Suzuki 600cc Bandit ... lovely bike ... although sadly at the moment lacking an exhaust! Get that sorted soon, and then i can go back out on it ... YEY!

Thank you so much again, it has certainly bought such a smile to my face! So thank you again.

    Take care
    Norris

Hey there, good work you doing, sir. Guess it nice to see some cartoon, in that rush for photo-like-art-rendering, and it looks like cartoon art is truly your field. I wish you the best man, and just keep doing what you like, and not what people tell ) Cheers!

P.S. LBP rocks, but I've been playing it on psp only - not really dig sony)

Norris - o.O ooh cool! sorry I feel like a right noob with motorbikes as I grew up with Mountainbikes and became a sponsored rider in my youth then went on to work on my mechanics skills and just ride for fun and even went out to Canada to look after a fleet of 30+ MTBs at a wilderness adventure camp in the Rockies for 5months (awesome time). All that time I loved the other type of two-wheeled machine with the motor attached but never got in-the-know if ya know what I mean? I just drool at the nice bikes and take a moment to marvel at the engine notes! Must be awesome hanging out with those guys!

Hey Seraph - thanks for dropping by and the kind words Aww shame you don't have a PS3 - LBP on PS3 is so much more detailed than PSP I've heard (I've never had a PSP lol)

Hey Chuck - update your SB already lol Go for it and add me on PSN (Just remember to include a message letting me know who you are)

Hey The7Artist7, this is the one and only super most blaster-funniest sketchbook I have ever seen on CA! I laughed a lot while looking trough your cartoons. The best are the ones about Jama`s sketchbook (<-that is where I found your sb) - I could quite identify with the person in the cartoons.
The photo-study from #361 is very good, I think this helps for "non-cartoon-art". Keep posting those cartoons!!
