Thanks Jonny! I appreciate that. You're my first... commenter.

These are my first attempts at speed painting. I set a timer for one hour on each of those. I learned alot from these, and I hope to do much better. I would really like, and quite frankly need crits on this stuff! I want to get better! I really want to work on variety in brushes and stuff.

Here are some sketches at Bauhaus. I'm trying to do more life life drawing, meaning not just naked people posing for me, but people actually going about their business. I probably did about 5 or 6 pages, but I'm only about 25% happy with these two. I'm trying to get better with line quality and quick sketchings. Please crit!

here are some studies. I need to be doing like 30 times more of these. Some figure studies from the God Alex Ross, and some environment studies from the Genius Ryan Church.

Here's some more life drawing. Some of it was successful, some of it definitely was not.

Here's some stuff from my sketchbook. Just some classmates and the teacher and some stuff from my head on the bus.

Here are some figures from the mall and the bus stop in my itty bitty pocket sketch book. Some hand studies in there, too.

haha, I could tell right away you were from AIS, just from some of the models you've posted here. It looks like you have the right idea here. You should post more imagination stuff too if you have it. Someone once told me, that you should do both life drawing and imagination drawing equally. Keep it up man.

hey kyle, first thanks for dropping by on my sb well i'll try to give you some tips... hopefully my poor english will let me do it....

first it seems your on the good way... your studies looks cool, keep them comming... especially the ones in the mall, ahaha i did so much of them, i know they looks pretty cheap compare to the nude poses you can spend 40min on but damn useful when you paint from imagination!
all rite for the sp then, your starting good too, you've got a mood each time which is the most important... try to use when you start a more...how to say... like the brush dun got too much transparancy in allrite? so you can block full colors so you got easy-to-reconize silhouette... and then paint inside. well that's how im workin
in the third one it's pretty good on this point.

now for the colors, maybe it's not the mood you were after, so again, try to check on google image or anything some reference for the colors... the sky color , the skin color with the lightening and so on. reference is the key.

i'm quite sure theres nothing that could be understand in what im saying but i tried ahhaha... i told you my english sucks somehow...

Okay, here's some stuff from class, a value doodle I did on the bus today, and just another page out of the sketchbook. Like Agelos said, you have to get all the bad drawing out of you.

Here are some pages from my sketchbook. I'm still not drawing enough! Most of it's crap. Some of it was homework and in class stuff from school. I need to get the back up of bad drawing out of my system. Hopefully, at least by page 5... maybe...

For some reason I like more your tiny sketchbook drawings than everything else. You can capture people in a really fast way! Also gotta dig your gesture drawings, lovely curves and lines. Keept it up!

Wailik: Thanks man. Your stuff is great, too! And don't say it isn't!

MayYeo: Thanks so much for the kind words. I'm trying. Just so burnt out. I agree with you totally about the big sketches. I'm trying to give them more movement. They always seem to come out very stiff and lifeless. Oh! And I browsed your site... beautifully meticulous paintings!
