my backround info! (oh goodie!):
Ok, so I'm a senior in high school with my eyes on attending a college for animation. CalArts is my first choice, and I noticed that out of my top schools they were the only ones that said they accepted sketchbooks. Thus I decided to get a 100 sheet sketchbook to fill with life drawings in =~ 4 weeks. Hopefully I'll get some solid portfolio pieces out of it as well, considering I don't feel that I have any strong portfolio pieces - especially concerning life drawing.
I've got great grades and scores but if I can't work up enough scholarships to attend CalArts, my backups are Ringling and SCAD (which, If I keep my 4.0, I can get full-tuition scholarship tuition to, though I'd still probably be 40k in the hole by the time everything's said and done).
Here are my works from last year, comments, vilification, praise, or idle banter are all welcome. I took the ap drawing exam with these (others where submitted to get to the 24 total of course, but they're not on my imageshack). Needless to say I got a three, and I can see why...
and an assemblage of personal sketches
here are the brand new life drawings!
the first two pages (pencil/pen) were done last week, the others this very afternoon.
they're digital pics as unfortunately my scanner does not accommodate 11x14 sizes.
