and...and...and.... All in good time. I just watched Shawn Barber's and it is my favorite one so far. I watched every feature and the entire dvd demo/lecture in one sitting. Big props to Shawn for putting together the most comprehensive and understandable dvd on beginning painting on the market. Was entirely inspiring.
Well done Shawn and Aaron!
the Shawn Barber dvd looks really sweet. any chance for more oil and/or more traditional media dvd's?
carl dobsky is up in the future with the cast drawing dvd. Not sure on the release date there.
Now if you stick the dvd in your comp an explore it, you'll get to see a wonderful photo from back in the day.

This would be my Pleine Air blog
It is not. Carl sees that as a method that develops poor habits as it can be seen as a crutch. Though it is a valid and proven method...if nothing else but one more way of checking the work for accuracy.
Very sweet. Ya I'm gonna have to agree with Carl on that one. It allows for very accurate drawings, but when thats the only way you know how to draw it can be difficult when you have nothing to judge off visually or with a model which is moving. Very interested in the DVD. Cant wait till it comes out.Originally Posted by Jason ManleyIt is not. Carl sees that as a method that develops poor habits as it can be seen as a crutch. Actually a small extra on one of the dvd's giving a quick overview of the most used ways of measuring would be neat, with pros and cons. Like the Setting up extra on the Shawn one.
Man I hope there is a Coro dvd or something, I was laughing so hard when I saw him on marko's. + Jason I'm sure you have more than enough knowledge to put into a dvd, I was checking out that old tut you made on gfxartist about the dark mage and your references to the old masters and their techniques and such, awesome read.
