This instructor list is officially unprecedented. No clue if this will ever happen again. But it is happening in Seattle,Jan 4-7 at the Bell Harbor Convention Center (right on the water). Please join us for the most intensely inspiring creative experience in the history of the industry.

Remember, if you have not signed up yet, Massive Black is covering a hundred dollars of your tuition if you sign up by Nov. 1. The early tuition discount can be had by contacting melissa@conceptart.org and including SEATTLE TUITION in the subject line. Normal tuition is 600 bucks so we appreciate that team MB is making things easier on people by supporting this event as a key sponsor again.

For those who have signed up, THANK YOU!!! We would not have this instructor list without you. It looks like we are going to sell out, again, so congrats on getting your spots!!!

Tuition will be 600.00 USD for the Seattle event.

The Shanghai event costs will be announced in October.

We are in need of new servers, and finalizing the new tech for the CA upgrade, which means major improvements here on the site for everyone. Proceeds from these events are going right back into improving things around here. Thanks to everyone for the support, past, present, and future.

    oh...before I forget...

Massive Black is covering $100 USD of each persons tuition who registers before Oct 1st and $75 for those who register before Oct. 15. Registration will begin when we announce the dates. If you are anxious and want to get started, while ya wait, you can get the following done:

    1. Get passport/visa (if needed)
    2. Draw in sketchbook as much as you can (equal parts imagination "no ref" and drawing from life (still, landscape, figure).
    3. Start thinking about what artwork you have that you want to show (if you want to or are trying to get a job), and ask "do I need to make any particular pieces for my portfolio?". You may find that you really wish you had worked harder on your art samples showcasing who you are and what you do as an artist. Just a heads up there. You will be happy if you have your act together as best you can, when you get to the event.
    4. Scope flights for mid December around the weekends.
    5. Make a list of all the mundane things you need to get done so you can have a big dose of "great life". Start knocking them out right away. There is plenty of time.
    6. Practice painting on your laptop, if you have one. The event will have many people working laptops, surrounded by walls of demonstrations by a range of art mentors exploring similar themes as the students. You never known when you might throw down. One of the guys painting at Insomania got bumped to the big screen to paint in front of the crowds. If it came to it, would that be you, or the one next to you? Your choice. Power is provided.
    7. If you are a traditional media guy or do not have a laptop, then practice in your sketchbook and with your portable materials. Sharpen the skills up as much as your schedule allows. There will be very big groups of people doing that too....

For those that just want to come to the show and take it all in...meet new friends, learn the biz, get biz, and all the rest...There will be plenty of that going on too...

Dates, hotels, workshop space and program info will be up soon.

    We will see you there.
