I'm 28, Married, with two kids, a dog, and a house in the ghetto to work on! Tattoo artist by trade, artist by nature. I'm hoping to improve through direct constructive critisism, so don't hold back. I won't get butt-hurt. Thanks for visiting and enjoy!

Oh and please, just skip to the end...

A color study for a portrait Im doing later today, trying to gleem some knoledge from this tutorial about saturation in the skin http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/art_t...color_identity. I think it came out like I was hoping for. Any one have comments on shadows on skin as far as color.

Thanks for stopping by guys, nice to have some visitors finally. Not sure what you meen exactly but I think basicly is question why Im doing what Im doing. Only problem is I don't know the answers and don't want to form bad habbits. Thats why I need people who know to bust my balls over it. Thanks again.

Trying to figure out light through saturation, any suggestions? Not completely unhappy, but I feel this is not worth while.
Oh by the way, its a goblin in a chicken suite.

keep on fighting man! you're doing great

on the last one, the faces of the form (think of it like a rough 3d model) at the moment each form get light on them as if they were doughnuts. But as an example the eye and it's eyelid has a round form right? and shouldnt it get the lighttreatment a sphere/ball would? i suggest you to draw over your head with like a fishnet structure, trying to define each shape. i think you'll understand the flatness (sounds so harsh, sorry) of your rendering then.

    cheers and good luck!

Size: 91.8 KB This is a result of a creature creation game I invented that is fun! w00t!

Take a D20, roll it for proportions. 10 is average, 20 is huge, 1 is tiny. Start at the torso, then hips, femur, tibula, fibula, footacarples, toes, humerous, ulna, radius, metacarples fingers, head. The point is try to balance it, IE if you had a HUGE upper body, and tiny legs, you would need to alter the thickness of that limb to make it stable. Cool creatures don't fall over. Don't ask me why I had a D20 with me at all times, it was always for the game.

Good progress in the last on and the monster face.........you are learning quickly, just be sure you´re not getting overwhelmed by all these topics you want to work on simultaniously. I would suggest to concentrate more on one topic like anatomy, heads, color...etc. when youre confident with one, go ahead to the next topic...at least it would be my approach.

    keep it up

Thanks for the feedback, I very much feel overwhelmed at this point. It would be so useful to know it all and I'm unsure where to start. So I just keep going. I just got done watching the first part of the afterworld online tv series so I feel uber dramatic. Maybee I'll hit up CA101

AfterWorld Char designs by the guy that did the Fallout and Fallout2 3d models? What do you think?

Your work makes me giggle . I'm not even sure exactly why. You have this strange surrealist stylistic feel to your work, but unlike surrealism it seems to me to have this non serious quality to it. Perhaps it's the colors and the way it is applied, or perhaps it's just your subject choices. *shrug. Well, I don't know if it was your intention or not, but I now feel chipper.
It also makes me reluctant to crit your work, but I'll still give it a go. I think you could do a lot more with your anatomy studies. Look at Loomis, Hogarth, and Bridgeman.
