The neglect! >.<
Wow. Been neglecting my poor old sketchbook here. Not good enough!
Got really fed up with drawing thanks to one hellish spring at my university. Sat day and night by the lightbox.. -.-
I have alot of things to show you, but I haven't got my folder back from my art teacher yet. The folder contains stuff like 20 comic strips and 3 horror illustrations in pen and ink... I also have a bunch of figure studies i need to scan. Nothing digital though.
IanE Thank you so much! I really enjoy making them too. ^^
Giorge Thanks, working on it.
andy375 I appreciate it! Been laying low on the robots lately though. :/
jatherip Sweet. Value studies seems like a good idea! Thanks!
Sevarenge Haha! Tack! Jag har varit sämst på att uppdatera. Studierna kommer. Väntar bara på att få tillbaka en hel del arbeten av min lärare.
Spent my whole summer in USA where I crocheted alot. I also did this small illustration for my boyfriend in ink and watercolours. Enjoy!
This is an amigurumi bear I did for my grandmother. Just a little taller than 2 inches.
This was the place where I spent my nights crying in april, may and the beginning of june. At the atelier in the basement of my university.
Bad photo taken with laptop webcam.

Hey, your little robots are funky! Theres a nice assortment of work in here, I really like your sculpture, it looks sort of like a demon worm or something ;p
Like your last illustration up there, and the rest of your little town sketches, you've given personality to those buildings.
<_< >_> -----> Sketchbook

Hi there! ^^
So you are studying comics in Gävle? Is it in fakt Johan Höjer thats pulling the strings still? I spent one year at serietecknmarskolan and it was just horrible, the only good thing was the other students! I havent gone to any other schools since that. So amsterdam? did you love it?
Glad to have you here at CA by the way!
Cheers and keep it up!
October 20th, 2009 #99
RedSquirrel Thanks! ^^
B-Man Aye! I'm at serietecknarskolan as we speak. And yes, Mr Höjer is still in charge. I'm doing my last year now. There's a lot to complain about when it comes to this program. But I'm enduring it. I'm glad they moved everything to Gävle though. I would kill myself if I had to live in Hofors. When did you study? Amsterdam was awesome. Would love to go back there, and experience more of the art and architecture. Things I kinda missed out.
Thanks alot and likewise Mr B-Man!
I'm currently working on a uni project; a children's book.
This is the line art for one of the first pages. I'm gonna start with the water colouring next.
More updates are coming!

Well, hello there!
Bloodsbane I'm too scared! Gonna give digital colouring a go. Or maybe not? I don't know! >.<
Ivan Turcin Thank you so much. I will scan and upload more soon.
Flaskpost Tack! Tuschade klart en till illustration igår, så det kommer. Vet inte hur jag ska göra med färgläggningen dock. Jag ändrar mig hela tiden!
Blaz Thanks dude! I'm trying to do more figure studies, but time is scarce and I have so much on my plate right now. I'm planning on making anatomy my big project after christmas though.
ColorExcursion Hey there! Thank you for the kind words. I do have a thing for buildings.. It's like a drug! Hehe!
Thank you all for taking time to comment. More stuff is coming. Promise!
I give you amazing zombies!
Yet another old school assignment. This one was about hatching and light. Made on A3 sized paper with pen and ink.
Before making the trio above, i had chosen the theme ghosts. But I changed my mind and made zombies instead.. This was my first attempt.
This was an assignment about silhouettes and text/fonts. It's supposed to be playing cards for a "truth or false" game.
You can buy your own autobiography for 3000$ in Japan. You'll sit through a 30h long interview, wait 6 months and then get a 100 page book about yourself.
In USA one can hire "The Fat Man". A man that stops dieting people from eating.
I apologize for some poor scans..

Christmas has passed and tomorrow is new years eve. Been busy with life and not enough art has been produced.
daveneale Thank you so much! ^^
Bloodsbane I know. I suck. But you know my situation. It's not very art friendly at the moment. :'(
Here's some character sketches and more linework in ink for the 3 spreads I'm making. The one I posted earlier is allready coloured. Will scan it soon and post more.
Ahh! The coloured version!

Hello fellow bildberättare.
I like your art style. I also recognize some of the work you have done as assignments in school. We did the same stuff when I was there (about three years back). The true or false game especially. You had Johannes for that? He is a good teacher.
I take it you have graduated now?

Broken 'puter makes Em a sad girl.. More traditional stuff then, I guess.
Bloodsbane Eh. Jag är seg.
Bergulf I graduated this spring and yes I had Johannes. Thank heavens for that!
Loathsome Houses in my heart! Hej hej på dig!
These are the 3 illustrations for my old childrens book dummy I made almost a year ago. Colors are a bit off. And a little bit rushed. I'm happy with a few bits and pieces.

I like you colors in this last post, reminds me of books I read as a child. Keep it up and push yourself hard. If you find your way to Stockholm let me know we might round up some CA members for a Sketchday or something.

Wow! Yet another long period without uploading on CA. I am ashamed.
The art school and life is sure keeping me busy!
Updates for whom it may concern:
¤ At the moment I'm working with silk screen printing on paper and fabric.
¤ I'm also working on a larger, more personal project in clay and fabric.
¤ I have a few paintings of jellyfish going on, two of them just got sold.
¤ One big ink and pen drawing in the making.
At home I'm working on starting up a business with my boyfriend plus I've fallen back into the jewelry making trap. Bead weaving is my new thing!
There is also a occasionally updated blog: http://emeliesandstrom.tumblr.com/
B-man Whops! Long break this time. It's not like I haven't been busy though. He he.. Thank you for the comment. I love childrens' books! Sketch day ftw my friend! I'm on!!! And I'll probably bring some back up too! Check out Bloodsbane's stuff.. We are good friends!
FootstepsBeckon Haha! Thank you so much for commenting! My laptop is fixed and I can finally work digitally again. I've just been really bad at documenting and uploading my work lately. Too much to do! I will look at your stuff too as soon as I'm done with this post!
So! This is a couple of pages from my latest comic i made for the anthology Comic Royale #5. It's a 9 page word-less comic about a girl that ventures out into the forest. And it got selected! Woho!
Line art in ink, greyscale in Photoshop.
