Hey really enjoyed your SB the amount of progress from the first page is unreal and your figure drawing is sweet you seem to be able to capture the form with a few strokes!

latigid Thanks dude.. shall go to ur sb for a visit.
shyamshriram Thanks for ur compliment!! Stil struggling with oils.. neeed morreee practiceesss..
Fumble Traditional is sooo fun!! and also a good chance to get away from computer, something i need to face during my day job
Lyno You should try it too..! It is totally different from digital painting...

So here are two weeks of stuff.. Mainly life drawing... Those more completed shading are done after the life drawing session at home. I try to imagine the light source and shade it with the intention of testing my knowledge of the human structure.

The figures are getting solid Mydrako, great. Sometimes I have the feeling proportions aren't 100%, now it's like 96% but I think this will come with time.

Very nice 3 dimensional feel to all of your life drawings. I am not sure why, but at times I think you could try and capture movement better, but that is probably the hardest task of an artist, so I really cannot say too much in that respect.

Lovely faces though. Actually everythings nice.

    Cheers

Mydrako, man those life drawings are very nice. I mean the lines are very nice and the shading is supporting the form and anatomy very nicely. Very descriptive and nice use of edges.

Need to find some live models my self Thanks for the inspiration!

Oh and the rest of the stuff is looking good too, especially liking the skull set with the eyes! Keep it up!

Your figures have improved dramatically from 1st post to now! The mid figure has a great gesture line that you push all the way from torso through the leg. That's very nice. It flows. Keep this up!
    http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1266409602
This head study has a nice subtle structure. But, keep pushing it to read clearly. Hair has a good mass feel to it as well.
I tell you, dedication pays off!

P.S. Skulls are fun, too. Like that the eyes keep finding their gaze back at us.

mc2mc2 Just hope I can be as pro as u...I need some donation to sponsor my education

Jussi Tarvainen Thanks dude. Drawing from life is the best way to improve. If you can, draw as much from life as possible.

hummel1dane Yah they are from imagination. I believe the best way to study is to draw from life and books, then try draw them from memory. Thats the only way to test if you have internalize what u learn from the books and practice.

AztcFireFlower Thanks. I still have much to learn. The path is still long and arduous, but thankfully it is enjoyable

So long time no update. Gone for mandatory army service...Grrr
So first some more skill study. I think next for me would be the muscles after my skull series.

Some drawing from imagination. Realised I cant draw women that well. Need to work on that. My understanding of the torso muscle is also lacking.

Hey Mydrako really nice life studies. I love looking at them as your linework seems so good and you capture the essence of the pose so well. I really want to be at your level I wish I could watch a video of you doing these. Great stuff

Started a long pose figure drawing session in my neighbourhood.. Feels good to be able to actually work through a piece slowly.
Here is the second and third session. The first one is too bad to be seen

Figures are nice again, the last one, with the stars on her arm, I'm saw her somewhere else on CA, but I can't remember where . For the portrait, I think the features of the face, like the eyes, nose, mouth, are too small. Maybe that's way it looks weird.

    Havent update for a while.

Not alot of works. Just more figure drawing practice. First two are 2 - 2.5 hours poses while the rest are 2mins - 10 mins short poses. Sorry for the slightly blur image!! Blame my unsteady hands

wow some really great studies and drawings in this sketchbook. you gotten much better since your start.
I'm not sure exactly, but some of your drawings seem to have a "very sunny day" type of look to them. it creates an interesting contrast, yet it seems you may be loosing some of your form with such extreme tenebrism.
this is only my opinion, so i don't know if it has any weight, but i think that by adding highlights to some of your darker studies and more mid tones to your lighter ones, you may wind up with a more compelling piece.
thank you for sharing your work with me. seeing people get better, drive me to become a better artist.

    Fudge this AWESOME place!!!

My SKETCHBOOK: please critique! i can take it!
