For Creature of the Week. Didn't finish it back when the topic was posted but I enjoyed the brief description (creature titled 'Lightning spike').
I wanted to focus on the creature design as much as possible. Unsure what to do with the background and floor.

I've been joining the Daily Spitpaint activity on Facebook. Link here.
A number of topics are posted each day. Participants can use 30 minutes to choose and paint a topic. No more. Pretty tough but also a very inspirational exercise. I feel like I'm learning a lot this way. The time constraint focuses you to be conscious about your painting.
These are the ones I've done so far since starting last week. Top to bottom:
Mark of the cursed
Chaos slime beast
Shapeshifters' true form
Chinese river dragon

NickyBeats: Actually I should be doing some more photostudies as well. Also, the figure drawings are nice but I think they're probably best when you actually follow up with work from imagination, like character designs. Right now my figure drawing is kind of disconnected from the rest of my work. Either way, agreed on the speedpaints! fantastic exercise. Are you a group member too?
Figure drawing again. 19/01/'15
Between 1.5min and 15mins per figure, I believe.
