I won't let you down! much more coming.
    Hah, well no worries there.

You definitely captured the horses well in your sketches, both with body structure and the movement. Animals can be difficult to capture (at least I find it so) so keep it up.

eclip-se - Needs more! speedpaints after this.
    - nat - - Ha! I need to plan my updates a bit better. I tend to end up with big piles of sketches. At that point I usually no longer feel like posting, or I forget about previous paintings.
zou - Yeah, lets blow some life into this sketchbook support group again, shall we? Those are some good points on the horse. Actually I had already changed the mouth the way you described it. The bones would have been a good touch, I agree. Would have been a better design. Right now only the head is skeletal...
CraneWife13 - The good thing about drawing animals is that their anatomy is very similar to human anatomy. Especially with mammals. Things may have changed over time, the basics are very much alike.

Ok, finished the CoW piece and did an IDW right after ("Poseidons Trident"). Didn't have much time for that one. I liked the challenge though so I'll probably participate more often.

Thanks Zou! I think I just need lots of practice with digital studies in full colour.

I'd like to do a vehicle design, and make a good portfolio piece out of it. Aiming for a sci-fi reconnaissance/exploration jeep. Not necessarily military, but it does have to look robust. Trying to get an interesting shape with a variety of materials.

    Starting off with sketches!

NickyBeats - Haha, I see what you mean. There's some resemblance. Then again the portrait isn't completely accurate either. Always a challenge. Anyway, thanks for the support!

Couple studies to start off with. All referenced.

    Hey zou,

    :|

Haha, well. Xmas/new year was awful, with very little art. Pretty much everything in the last post is done in the last two weeks. Working on lots of stuff now though.

Here's a start with the daily routine.

Charcoal portraits, A2-ish size. Done at a lifedrawing workshop at the REALISME14 art fair. Organized by Wackers Academie.
Times were somewhere between 10 and 30mins. Hard to keep track of since it was pretty tough. The session was concluded with a 10-min-crazy-angle pose.

    Hey zou!
Thanks for the crit. The head is indeed slightly too large.

These are great exercises too, very recommended. They're relatively new and you can find them under the community activities.
The goal is to do these without tracing or colour picking.

Anyways, here are a few more.
Tomorrow I'll update with something else. Got quite a few things lined up again.
