Hi there. I'm glad i stopped by, you've got a lot of great stuff here. Awesome linework and hatching. Bodies could use some more consistency (although a few of them are excellent) and if I had to pick a weakness, it'd be the way the heads are attached to necks are sometimes not convincing (this is a good example: http://www.inkdropdesign.com/images/sketches/marta.jpg)

All in all, great work. Please keep posting.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Max. I need to do more life drawing, the neck has always been a weak point for me. Ill get it figured out though.

You've got some good things going on here. You have confident line work, something I'm still learning. Try to get along to some Life drawing. I not very good yet but I learn more everytime I go. Keep up the good work

Yeah I really want to get some life drawing in but the nearest gathering is 45 miles away on a night that I work So most of "not quite life drawing" comes from images.

Tonight I experimented with Reference and Memory.

I studied this for about 10 mins.

Then I painted for 1 hour from memory with 1 quick peek at about 30 mins.

Then broke out the reference and compared and went WTF. So I studied it about another 10 minutes painted for another 30-45 mins.

Still alot to fix and finish up but so far so good as far as Im concerned.

Beautiful sketches here, i love a lot of your concepts, particularly the merman and the bot mermaid.

The girl from mostly memory's really good! I would have gotten frustrated and peeked at the reference long before you did

I'd love to see more, so keep posting!

Thanks for the kind words. I actually took a few years off drawing, life got pretty twisted for a bit, but I'm back in the swing. Really pumped for Discovery. So much knowledge to be shared.

Here are a few sketches for a project on penciljack.com from tonight...
