No worries Sublimus, I know that it's nice to get a bit of feedback now and again just to keep you motivated and making sure you're heading in the right direction.

This is just a brief for one of the buildings / installations for this festival coming up. A bit difficult to work out what's possible and what's not. Although I realise it's just a general brief just so the creators have something to work to, rather than working blind.

Two more briefs, and they are getting pretty brief as it's all quantity over quality [well, that's my excuse].

An image for a poster [of many if I can pull my finger out my arse] for this themed area for Glasto etc. Could do with a lot more work but I'm behind as it is, colour tips and so on welcome though.

Still keeping my eye on lol. I like the last sketchbook page, full on ideas as usual. I won't comment much on the enviros on this page, because they seem to be more like "fuck it i want to eat, and finish this bs up quickly and after that get on with something more creative" type of thing. Though if you ever need to do the same things more worked out or something, you may also use stencils for some places - like for lettering, posters etc. if you need one thing more than once at the same place it's quite useful. Gives a nice clean realistic feel, and might save time -though it depends. A lot of times it might be faster with brush. But just an idea, incase you might need it someday, then know it's there. I like the bank one the most I think.

On the scientist, I would had changed the background color a little bit, to make it pop out a more. At the momenth the background makes it kinda look like a computer game cover from 90s dunno why. (does it even make sence?) I know absoloutely nothing about color, so I base my talk on what feels right for me lol. I think if the background would be black, and there would be slight ammount of darker red faded into the centre (and a very slight ammount of bright fire red), where the figure is. than it would look powerful/it would pop out more. (or same combination with black, dark blue, slightly light blue) Also, i'm not feeling the haircolor, maybe some classical dark would work/make more contrast in the figure, with some nice highlights on some places. (maybe get some inspiration from comicbooks) But after all that bs that i said, I have to mention that the overall thing is looking very cool, crazy scientists for the win yo!

edit: don't belive me, haha. after having the second look, the hair color seems to be fine.

Hi Spark, yeah those buildings just got worse and worse. I found out after doing the first that they didn't want to put much money toward them and just wanted them brief anyway. Hope they use them though as otherwise it's a bit of a waste of my time :/.

Computer game from the nineties, ha LOL! That would explain a lot, seems it's been more of an influence than I thought. I've always been shit on backgrounds, just do the main character and I forget about atmosphere. Anyway, that image is going to be cut out and applied to posters in various ways, so I don't know why I put a background in in the first place :/. Thanks for the input on the background, nice of you to have thought about it.

Will check on your book sometime, all the best.

Sign I did for the main Downtown area. Was interesting getting the metal effect and seeing what worked and what didn't. Still haven't seen it fully cutout [as I didn't have the jigsaw to hand], so I just hope they did a decent job of it.

Other stuff for a few illustrations for the very quickly churned out festival programme. Still haven't seen how it turned out.

    Influenced a bit by Pop-surrealism I feel.

Good to practice anatomy if I'm not entirely sure what to draw and I can get away with murder if it goes wrong. Glad I found it.
