    Too early?

Halloween is my favourite holiday, the zombie sketches are coming early this year...

Is this photoshop? I really like your lighting, the character is very dimensional. Are you going to keep the rough painterly look? its going good.

    Never too early for halloween!

thanks MurdokX I appreciate your comments,

This was more of an exercise than anything else, trying to leave things rough because I too often over-work my images. I used PS for some lighting and adjustments but mostly worked in Open Canvas and tried to keep as much of the original sketch in there as possible.

And I agree....it's never too early for Halloween!

cool stuff - very freaky. Reminds me of one of the hyenas in the Lion king. Mufasa, Mufasa, Mufasa! .....
Ha. anyway. I'm not too convinced of the intersection of skull and skin. The skin seems veeerrry thin, and not too rotted. This should be real nasty.. Take a look at artis Mattias Snygg for some yummy zomby flesh.

hey thanks for the interest and comments. I only have my Conceptart sketchbook to show right now (link below) but I think I will use this thread for Halloween creatures for the next little while. Feel free to add to it that would be cool.

    take care
