    The two last ones look stunning! I hope to get half as good as you at PS brushing some day. I love the sense of layered paint on the last one and the way the shadows blend to the background.

    @Benjamin: The first time I picked up an oil brush was in 2005, but I painted sporadically on and off for about three years. This year I've painted almost full-time for about 9-10 months.

    Thanks for your kind words

    Thanks for the advice, I think it must be difficult to fit the time in to create work digitally and traditionally if you also have education and work to worry about, but you do it well!
    and a re-correction "You Madam, are awesome!" hah thanks.

    dude your work is very beautiful.

    i desire to see you get more specific about the detailing and take more controle over your rendering method. i think you could truely do some articulate and clean work if you pushed the crispness to a higher level.

    @Benjamin: Haha, well, at the moment my 'education' is the whole art thing, so in that respect I'm pretty much going to school to make all this stuff for hours each day....

    @NickyBeats: Thanks!

    @Aryeh: Thank you very much, I do agree, I would like to get more rendering practice in soon. A lot of my classes this term are focused on drawing :/ Hopefully that will change soon!

    @Dog-faced: Thank you, I credit the anatomy all to a very outstanding anatomy teacher, Rey Bustos.

    5 hour speed paint... I've got this bird people thing going on.

    Your mechanical and bug-ly sketches show an apparent affinity on your part for structure, limbs, gears, articulations, mmmh ? Also the trees, and the leaves, and all the flora are cool. Nice thumbs as well. Will they keep this format or will we be granted higher definitions ? Anyway, great work, keep on !

    Daily sketch !

    Hey everyone, lots of work going on on my end -- schoolwork and freelance. I can't show much yet but I took a trip to the Planes of Fame museum in Chino and sketched a bit.

    @Ludic: Thank you!
    @Eightball: Thanks, it's been challenging to really start thinking about design fundamentals in addition to the art fundamentals... but I like the process.

    As for school, well, it's now really really busy, my one complaint is I never have time to work on my OWN art anymore, it's all taken up with homework. But I'm learning a lot I have vis dev classes where it's all design, and also more illustration type classes where we have to compose rhythms and flow in single images, for example. It's definitely a unique experience because we get exposure to many schools of thinking, from the Art Center industrial design way of breaking things down to realist fine art to traditional illustration to animation vis dev to movie concept art. I just wish I had more personal time so I could actually sit down and really assimilate all this information and figure out what I REALLY want to do. I would say the one thing Laafa is incredible at, bar none, is giving students a really comprehensive view of most spheres in the art world, so it's like being given a gigantic road map of everything. But it's still up to us to figure out which one of these directions we would like to ultimately head towards.

    Anyway here's some art from last term that I found and never posted... photo paint of a classmate, and a prop sheet.
