here's my crap, tell me watcha' think.
I have to say that lukais and rusty have been big inspirations to me lately, there is much more talent on this board but I don't think i'm insulting anyone by saying that they have awe-inspiring skills.

very nices, definetely keep it up!
excellent! i like the x-ray pics in particular
man your knowledge of anatomy is so much better than mine!
art is fun and addictive. like coffee. I like coffee too.
the very first page has some nice solid drawings on them streak-tron..,keep going m8
..Ive never really looked at a good anatomy book b4,but those anatomy ones youve drawn accually taught me something..lol
Praise from Ceasar!
I'm glad I could help you rusty, your incredible drawings are a big inspiration.
lately I've been using a book called (guess what) "Anatomy for the artist" by a woman named Simblet, it's a great book with drawings and photos as well as transparent drawing overlays on photos. The arms were from Loomis on Anatomy.
It's really difficult for me to draw the figure from my imagination so I would try one, find a problem area and reference it, then try a non-ref figure agian. this really seemed to help
caterpillar: anatomy is hard.. it's alot of ad-lib
"back too da drawing, I smell something burnin'"
herez some mo'
wow kickass stuff man. You got great anatomy and I love how you exaggerate certain parts and stuff, like that one creature with the super high top lip, I've seen people that almost look like that. the pen stuff is awesome, I can definitely see the lukias and rusty influence in there.

Good work and great sketches! Your Frog-Man is superb!:thumb:
yes like theyve already said great anatomy!
you dont stop posting !
HAHA!!..that frogman`s pretty cool, your definatly getting a good hold of anatomy by the looks of those sketches..
cheers, ill look out for that book,my knowledge of anatomy bites..
hi guys (n gals)
thanks fer the complements. I've been doing alot of anatomy studies but I'm ready to start drawing some creatures and such that make concept art so cool.
the frogman is part of a project for school, so I'll keep posting the sketches once I scanned em' up. I just looked at lung's thread (his stuff is amazing) and felt very lazy, but it made me draw more today and that's what this board is all about.
everyone - keep churning out the awesom stuff, it only gets better.
rusty - i don't know what the hell yer talking about, your anatomys great.
jeff- I'd like to see that guy on the street

metalwinds: thanks for the compliment
I thought I'd post some of the sketches for my frog project. The assignment is to illustrate a wildflower name, mine is the "bastard toad flax". I'd like to have the finish be mo' detailed but we have to come up with something more like a symbol. I'll try to post agian sooner
or at a strip joint, I dunno...
this is where I am so far
hey Steak-tron! welcome to the forum buddy, surfed your site, some very nice work...hmm that toad appears to have just a few issues no? the first batch posted is prime.
Sup peoples, i been lazy with the not posting and what-not. Hopefully this will all change with my newly installed robot brain and body. the amazing work on this board makes me both very inspired and self-loathing (due to the laziness)
metalwinds: thanks for the props, having seen your work they mean alot, I really like the new color-uns. (I sucks at the colors).
Ruby: thanks for the warm welcome! you know art is the goodness so I'll refrain from the complements and resume with the right-clicking of your posts.
here are some sketches from a new series i'm putting up at the artschool in oct. the nervousness is kicking in too soon. Hopefully i can put up the frog once i get it graded.
here is a robot i did last winter, shows a bit-o-progression hopefully
keep artin' it up evareeboodeee.
that last one is my fave, the mechanics on that suit look great because eveything on it looks practical ..i love the way the shapes flow/interlock into each other ,specially around the mid section and the arms...
yes! i enjoyed the many stages of your last post. the final product is sharp, i really like it. less see some moor.
the last set of drawings for the mech suit are very impressive, the design works so well!
Hi fellas, thanks fer all the positive feedback
Rusty, Ruby and Jnorish: It's great to hear from you guys (since you so damn good, awesome updates btw) I actually did the robot over last christmas. I Tried to make it look practical, but would you really need a gasmask filter in space? and a groin plate? thought those just looked cool. as always your props fill me with a warmth in my heart (and my loins!...)ha
Behemot5: thanks man, just checked out your thread and really like the work, very sharp.
I'll try to update more often now, but unfortunatley all you get is sketchbook drivel, the robot was more of a finished piece(I hope that passes for finished).
everyone's favorite eyeless monster....raymond!
sorry about the quality, my scanner is a crazy asshole
this is from a helmut newton photo, it's small but i likes it (notice the nub for a hand. makes her look "fashionable")
found some more x-rays from this summer
every now and then there is a chick in a mag and you have to draw her, you don't really have a choice in the matter.
this girl was real (no really) and kindly sat for me for 20min
thought youz guys might get a kick out of this school comp
Great sketches steak-tron, I really like the x-ray drawings.
Thanks for the props roger, your stuff is mighty fine (i'm looking at it right now but the pics are taking forever to load- its worth the wait.)
I haven't posted in 1000 years, these are from a show i had at ye old artschool.
not sketches, but i been sketchin 'em
you so crazay.. these are wicked
i especially like that bot suit...
Niiice, I love those colored monster drawings! Keep it up!
thanks roger and endregan! (your persistance; and quality, on your boards inspire me to draw more) It's strange how that works. Alot of the time I will be intimidated by my sketchbook because i'll come up with crap if i'm out of practice (or just in general). But after you draw for a long period of time it becomes exciting because you start to see successes. This is amplified exponentially (like that nerd speak?) when you draw everyday. Almost everyone on this board gives themselves a hard time for making "crap" (not that it is, you get the idea) but have made huge bounds since the initial post. I've certianly been inspired to draw more since posting, and i'd like to think it's not a competitve thing. When I see some really kick-ass stuff it makes me think that the possibility for myself to do work of that caliber in the far future is there (with lots o work ofcourse).
now that my 2-cent has been deposited i'll get off my soapbox, but with that said here's some more shit. I've been drawing lots of little figure thumbs inspired by killing.people's thread., This really helps alot i would reccomend it
tablet werk, still no good
wow steak! luv that flight suit concept and the guy playing checkers with the goul lady roolz!! hahahaha Awesome! crisp lines and simple color. =)
