    RIP: Mike 'Ringo' Wieringo

Another great one passes. And tragically, at too young of an age. My age, in fact

*wow* I am shocked. I knew Mike from the conventions back when I was in Comics. He was and is a great guy. I considered him a friend.

    Rest in Peace Mike.

    God Bless-

Hopefully this will not continue... especially not for the ones of such youth. in this day and age 44 is hardly considered middle age by most people... and Gangus at 35... Sad, sad summer =(

WHAT? Mike's work was really fun. Sad news again, and he was way to young.

Super bummer. I had really enjoyed his work. I've got a handful of the comics he worked on. Wow this is sad.

I've been in a funk since I heard the news earlier this week.

So sad. Such a good guy and amazing talent.

Edit to add: He had a dA page, btw. One that I was just checking on this past Friday . Anywhoos, there are a number of journals at dA in tribute to Ringo. Go check 'em out. Here's the link to his dA page: http://wieringo.deviantart.com/

Aw man, not Ringo too. Why not liefeld or roger cruz? Ok, ok that was wrong, but seriously Ringo was awesome on Spidey.

Mike Weiringo's work had such a vibrant life to it. I love his lighthearted lines alot. It's a tragedy to lose such an inspiration.
