Cool Gon - the little dinosaur with attitude

This is my latest little sculpture, he's about 6" tall and based on the Japanese character Gon, a little dinosaur who has a bad a$$ attitude...

I've still to bake and paint him.

I'm torn between leaving him as he is (as I like him as he looks now) or put a texture on his skin. Bearing in mind that he IS a manga/anime character and needn't look photo-realistic, i'm scared i'll screw it up!

    All comments welcome...
    Thanks!
    Ronnie

Good job, I like it. Was he in the tekken series?

Hehe, that's cool. Just a suggestion, maybe he would look a little less static is he had his arms raised perhaps?

If that's how he appears in the cartoon though no worries!

    Looks nice.

I agree though with the previous I think he looks very static.

I also remember Gon(from playing Tekken) as more compact and even more round in shape.

If you make him clench his little fists and crouch down bending his legs(make them thicker to) I think the pose could become more interesting. like he is waiting for the time to strike, holding back his reptilian anger to the opponent(but then again, I have only seen Gon fighting, maybe this upright, somewhat stiff, almost paralysed looking pose is typical for him in the books?)

I think his facial expression doesnt go along wíth the pose.
    face is brooding.
pose makes me think of a dull cat.

I suggest aiming for one of these looks trying to get away from the other. right now it´s a bit confusing.

here is a crap picture of Gon as I know him.

I love this! I do agree that something needs to happen with his arms though.

I know him as the bonus character in tekken. His head is huge in that game. Mass produce this into many types, marble, porcelain, clear acrylic.
