MAtte Painting/ Futuristic Cityscape // CRITS needed

Hey all this is a matte painting/concept art assignment for school, i've put roughly 6 hours into this as is (hope to put another 6hrs into it) and am looking for harsh critiques detailing my lighting, composition, and over all appeal of the piece. Paintovers are welcome if you feel you need to illustrate whatever point you are trying to make. Thanks in advance.

Ah, really cool stuff! I especially love the part on the right side with more detail!

I really like this, all the details of the signs really contrast nicely with the dark buildings. I would give the foreground some more contrast to give it more depth. Also clear up the forms on the right building in the background. I can't tell if its all one building or if there are two buildings one in front of the other. Put in some figures as well to give it scale and make it look more like an active city.
