thanx to ikuru for this classic topic!

    ADDITIONAL INFO

    - No individual or character!

    - Green Slime can be the material the creature is made of or only a part of it or maybe there is another relation to the slime...it's up to you...

    - Just make sure that green slime is playing a MAIN role in your creature concept

    - No blob like creatures, we need to see a clear creature design

    - Big surprise, but we need to see the green slime on your image!

    - Post your final entry hosted on an external webserver...NO ATTACHED IMAGES!!!

    C.O.W. - #095: Green Slime
This amphibian uses sticky green slime, which is obtained through pores in its skin from the swamp and stored in a small sack under its body, to shoot at prey and render it immobile. With this same greenish slime under its feet this creature can climb trees and walls and overcome obstacles easily.

    Green Slime

Crawling around the dungheaps, this insectivore lures bugs into its flower shaped appendage. It lacks an internal stomach so the insects are moved through tubes to the outer pods of green slime where they are digested. The creature then scratches off the pods breaks them open and sucks out the nutritious green bug goo.

I'm creating a creature that lives in the green slime and isn't actually part of it. Is that ok?

    GREEN SLIME!

This aquatic monstrosity dwells deep in murky water. Its a vital part of the eco system for the water it inhabits. It secretes a green slimy fungie from pores along its back tail, which is the bi-product of the food it eats. This fungie floats up to the top of the water surface, covering it vastly. This maintains the cool temperature for the water and provides cover for this fishy from any land walking beasts with an empty stomach!
    C.O.W. - #095: Green Slime

thanks Fozz for the input!! given the back line of excreted slime a more green look which adds a nicer dynamic to the pic! yay!! Great to do a cow again hehe!

Nice image! Maybe push the vizualization of the green slime, it took me a while to spot it in your image...

Maybe it is a good idea to add a bullet point to the additional info, where the slime has to be seen clearly...

kasen kato - Coming along nicely there! A few general pointers to get this to look better. You have established a fairly strong background at the moment, with detail in the furthest reaches. But you character so far doesnt have enough detail to compete with that. So try to fade the background out a bit into less saturated colours and loose some details if possible.

The character looks predominantly backlit from the shadow which is cool and dramatic! But make sure you have another idea for a light infront of him. Maybe an orange brown? If you add a thin highlight to the shoulders and edge, it will give a better effect of the light from behind. And bbrighten up that lover right hand sky to add to the effect!!

like you said - this is too humanoid at the moment, maybe you can add a few arms, legs wings eyes or pulsating sacks of slime?

hrmm, i might have to get in on this action...
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
