    "Serafina"

Here is a sculpture of "Serafina". A character in a new movie coming out this December called 'The Golden Compass' based on the books.
This is one of 3 characters I did for Master Replicas for a full color collectable line coming out around the same time as the movie. The actress playing Serafina is Eva Green. This was sculpted in a mix of Super Sculpey and Firm grey S.S. and is about 11 1/2 " tall.

    Mark.

Excellent poise, balance and action-in-repose, and superb handling of the facial features and expression, subtle but strong. A beautiful piece without being flashy and overstated. Only comment is that the draw is a little off (she should bring the drawing hand closer to the face) but that's something maybe only archery fans would notice.

If I ever get to this level of making folds in dresses, I will quit my day-job.

    (I love your work)

I was trying to find the words to say what I thought about the piece, and Masque pretty much nailed my thoughts. Beautiful sculpt. I love the elegant simplicity.

If the colored versions add to what you have here, I'd probably get it. I'd probably get it as is.

yes that is a very nice sculpture....beautiful details...how did you get the subtle wrinkles in the clothing and smoothness of the face without washing away the detail?
    thanks for this eye candy
