Very safe for work-Illustrations and stuff-UPDATE 8.15.07
Hi all. Here is some work I can finally post, after getting together my portfolio for comicon I managed to have some finished illustrations for show and tell. Big thanks to Jon Foster and Dan Dos Santos for taking the time to chit chat and talk about art and stuff at comicon.
So, the first image is a comic book cover for BOOM! Studios Cthulhu Tales, I think it is supposed to be out soonish. Basically, going for the classic B movie Horror posters of the 50's.
The last four are illustrations done for a few gallery shows I have been in in San Francisco and LA. These illustrations are more personal, and have a playfulness and humor which I love to depict in innocent situations of childhood. Of course I do have to throw in a few odd characters here and there. Ok, enough words on to the art. Hope you enjoy and I will post more soon!
Thanks for looking.

Reason: not finished
My favourite would be the third, not so sure about the kid being so much in the center but I like how the kids seem to be in another world- of racing- by the way they've taken it seriously and got gear on, the wind is a nice touch to emphasise that with the kids scarf-wrap and litter sweeping across the pavement.
My only gripe is the white text for your website/email/copyright on most of these images, something less obvious and distracting would be much better imo.
Hi Guys, thank you again to everyone who has looked at my little post and big thanks to everyone that has commented, I am glad you guys get and love the feel I am going for in these pieces.
Gorilla-sorry to say I think the show is down, but I am going to be in another one in January here in L.A., I'll let you know more as I get more details. But yes we need to do some painting soon my friend.
Raskolnikov/JacobRomeo/SEVANS/Dile_/harachte-Thanks for the kind words my friends. I hope you enjoy these next few.
Fafnir-Thanks for the crit, when I finished it I was like damn, he's dead center, but the overall feel for it is what I wanted so I didn;t mind as much cause the bear to the side seemed to balance out the composition of the 2 kids as a group. Yea, i know the copyright thing is a pain, but its one less step than from putting it across the image as a watermark, which I might have to start doing unfortunately. Till then, enjoy these next few!

Commission for a buddy of mine for his new niece. He gave me a lot of elements he wanted me to incorporate into the piece so I tried to make a cohesive illustration out of it. Challenging piece but super fun.
