    who?

You should be aware that i have your NDA on file here at the Rice home office, punk. you don't remember signing it? the orange juice + coffee confection that i made you try back at cinco de sketcho el dos? I guess i'll let ya by on the "§ 1.3.4 preview or pre-release images must be smaller than a goat's toe" clause, even tho the legal team in their legal hats is trying to find a loophole.

Wow. the dog skull studies all scanned and presented look pretty sweet. that all-tonal all-the-time one, that's really damn sweet. I think that's the kind of exciting thing that happens after all the experience with the oils. it's hard to go back to drawing with lines in a way, at least it was in my experience. Glad to see the inkwashes – there're lots of exciting things that you can do with those... keep at it and be sure to let me know what you learn. we'll compare inkwash notes one crit on the other monotone life study scans: a good thing to do is desaturate these by... like 10 or 25%... that way thhe yellowish tone of the paper doesn't show up so much.

ok get this: rosco goes both up and down the stairs of the loft amazingly well. like... he bounded up them and after going down slowly once he had it down! bleh. thursday is the dreaded day for valentine's intestinal massacre... after these sutures we'll be right back.

    g

p.s. thanks for the contribution to my sketchbook:

Holy crap. I was doing very good with the regular updates, and then I just dropped off for no reason. I now return you to my regularly scheduled updates

    Ovad: Thanks Dude
Gugg: I am definitely not satisfied with a simple line drawing anymore, I now require at least partial rendering, which is good I suppose. Really, I just want to have the pretty colourful sketchbooks like you. That was a fun one to do. Thanks for the support

Some sketchbook paintings. The first three are from a new dedicated book in which I plan to do daily illustrations/paintings, the rest are for fun.

These are lookin damn sweet sir,
Hope that you keep up this painting a day thing! It's cool seeing how the Tuskies are evolving over time. now bigger horns, chest hair color variations, and fleshy ears. what will another hundred millenia see the tuskies evolve into?

cheers and keep up the good work!

Oh, it's been too long since I took a morning to crawl through the hallowed pages of Fingerless' virtual sketchbook...

First, I want a print of your crustacean schoolboy...No kidding there...It deserves a place on the wall in the new digs...The juxtaposition of photography and traditional rendering really sets it apart from both your usual subject matter and color studies - but in a way that points to taking a path in the right direction. A great addition to this thread...

Second, I hope you ramp up that "big new project" you've previously mentioned. The concepts you've added point to a strengthening of the "NoFingers Aesthetic" and I believe you'll find an audience for the flavor of work you're hoping to put forth.

I'd love to see a big sheet of concepts in here. Just one large page filled with rows and columns of creatures and characters to really pinpoint where your vision has settled.

    Keep up the fight.

    ~KU
... a cry went up into the shuddering air, and faded to a shrill wailing, passing with the wind, a voice bodiless and thin that died, and was swallowed up, and was never heard again in that age of this world.

KU: I don't remember if I told you, but I'm writing and illustrating a children's book, as a portfolio piece, so that's the "big new project." I just finished writing it, so now I'm working on the drawings. Thanks a bunch for your comments

I'm trying to become more comfortable with drawing figures, so here are a ton of gestures from imagination, as well as other stuff.

Went to the zoo today with Gugg. Some sketches pen/inkwash. Also, I just got a DS and Colors!, and that thing is fun. Here are some quick digi-paints I did (still trying to get the hang of painting so tiny), 2 lemurs, a frog and elephant (ass)
