    Any tools for this?

Say I scanned in a decently textured paper with a sketch on it, like, watercolour paper. Now you can see all of the little bumps on it in photoshop. Is there any way to take those expanses of texture and make them flat, one colour? I hate having to make big blobs of opaque paint over everything just so I can start painting, because then it kind of takes away the usefulness of my sketch. =/

    Any ideas?

if the texture is fairly subtle - and the sketch contrasts strongly with the paper - you could go into levels and bring the white end in a bit, which will get rid of the lighter details.
