The Rose's Sketchbook - UPDATE: OCTOBAH 29 (SORTA)

Decided I needed a new sketchbook to help me match my dedication and method used to improve my photography. So, here goes the ish created through my blind journey...

    Enjoy (or not!)

Sketch for Teen Challange #32: Alien Mount and Rider, hopefully I'll be able to complete it. Basically, the rider is a mutant breed created from the mount. The mount called a "Leex," is now used by its cousin breed for transportation since they can barely get around on their own.

Gestures range from 15 seconds to 3 minutes. Used to doing these almost life size, so drawing on a smaller scale was a bit of a challenge for me. Pose Maniacs, fineart.sk and magazines.

Very nice structure and rough gesture of the figure. I also use posmanicas, great source internet source of the digital figure which is the next best thing to the live figure. Definitely keep doing the figure studies along with the drawings from your imagination. I would like to see more drawings please.

    bwa ha ha ha... MOO!

    ok, wurple prose,

Looking good, i'm a big fan of the posemaniacs site too, have been meaning to get back into the practice of going there /// daily? yeah. that's what i'll do! after august is over... august is my brenda.

Looking great! Gotta love seeing page after page filled with figures! that's such great practice! If anything i'd say to try to get your line economy to a better place, 1 line instead of several to indicate a form. means you trust your first mark and aren't fussing about where it should really be. sketching some in ink, doing blind gestures, and just loads of fast gestures period will really help out with this. Means cleaner sketches, and as i've never said before and will hopefully never say again, cleaner is meaner.

cheers and keep up the awesome pencils!

    go go go!

    gug

    Gosh Darn...

Hmm, let's try this again... I keep getting distracted by photography.

Just a little sketch when I got bored this morning. I have no idea why it looks blurry. Trying to get a bit cleaner with my sketching though.

May have a real update later today... we'll see.

Edit: Fixed the blur... I'm slow.

I think I like your idea of keeping a sketchbook to boost photography levels.. I'm becoming worried I'm only average at either.. maybe that will change for me.. I like you idea of the creatures.. rather like that alot... think you are good at the illustration sketch genre...job well done in my very humble opinion.
