    Concept Art vs. CG Society

    Hey folks,
I stumbled upon one of CG Society's forums, and realized that there forums are sort of like what we have here at CA. Just wondering if there were any big differences between CA and CG Society, as far as the level of expertise, the type of people, and how helpful each one is. deviantART is nothing compared to CA, but CG Society looks like it might be somewhat comparable.

There's a lot of membership overlap. The biggest difference is that they're exclusively digital.

    Ah. That makes sense.

I like CA more. So many more levels of artists. I wish the professionals contributed more though. But I understand that they have more important stuff to do then critiquing and helping out over here . Heh. ( theres a few exclusively-uber-great people here helping out EVERY day, so sorry for my generalizing )

Also, over there, on cgtalk( cgsociety ) theres also a bigger focus on finishing stuff. More show-off heh.

That's what it seems like. Seems like more of a gallery than a place where you can get critique and further your skills.

Enter the contests there(cgsociety). you will get your crits. Just post often and be an active member in the forums. You'll get attention eventually. Like elwell said, the only difference is that cgsociety exclusively does digital.

    I'm a member of both,
It seems to be far moer commercially driven, as if it was designed to be an active part of there members commercial front.
It's an interesting place, with a high standard of members which is more than be said about other gallery sites out there.
