    Inspiration Resources

    Inspired by Sinix (Rob Stacy), I have written a couple of short articles on creativity and inspiration which you may find useful in concept design. The articles also contain links to custom brushes and other resources, including a twisting loaded palette knife used in creating the character profiles below;

    Thanks, David.

    I've read (quickly and will take more time later) your Part 1 and Part 2 articles, watched the first video, downloaded the brushes and art materials, and spent a half hour or so playing.

    There's obviously a need to spend more time but even with this much I can see a great deal of potential.

    That's no surprise, as your offerings are always full of potential.

    ... for professional and student Concept Designers and for any artist in need of a free and spontaneous way to "sketch" their ideas or discover ideas... inspiration...

    ... not to mention fun!

    Sincerely,

    Jin

    Thanks Sandman

    Your post has awesome info which I appreciate. I promised myself that once a week I would take time away from my work and learn something new in Painter. Your site and of course John Derry provides me just that education. I have been working with Painter since Painter 5 and I pretty much learned via the User Guides. Since I found this forum and others Painter has exploded with creative possibilities. This is very exciting for me because finally I am doing what I have always wanted to do, painting stories.

    I'm pleased you found the information and resources useful Syd. For me, life is working in a engineering stores by day, and Painter in the evening and weekends (after chores)...not perfect, but I can't complain, as there is always something new and interesting to be discovered in Painter.

    Man those inspiration brushes are damn useful! So thanks for posting them sandman! But it was a rather pain in the ass to figure out how to install them in Painter X (despite the included instructions). In the end I figured it out anyway. Thanks a lot, once more.
