    nice portrait! How long did it take you to make it?

    I also like the colours of the third one, the lower body part of the model.
    Done in real life or with ref?

    sinneart: Thanks for the crit, skin tones are really frustrating, I'll try that tip later sometime. And yeah, the hair is boring, but it was extra difficult to draw it, because I could barely see the hairs on the reference image. Thanks for the critiques

    maeshanne: Thank you^^

    Marlisa: I don't know how ling time I used on the portrait. I took a lot of breaks, so I lost time. The third one is done with ref.

    I spotted the EOW#100 Epic challenge last week and thought I might participate this time. Going to do the Wheel of Time. Just started the first image:

    Great studies, keep doing them, and definitely anatomy studies! It's hard to do things that you are uncomfortable with, but it'll help you greatly in a relatively short amount of time. For the matte painting with monks, watch out for the scale of the grass - it seems a bit too big right now. Keep up the good work!

    Nightblue: Thank you, I will
    animosapien: You're too kind. I'm trying to improve my characters. Trying to do small studies besides the environments for EOW Epic...

    Here's a new sketch, had a lot of trouble. Not used to doing characters so much, but I wont become any better if I don't try. Not so happy with this one, actually, I like my last colour sketch because it has some movement in it, next time I'm gonna try make every stroke count and make it more fluid:

    looking good, I'm really digging the use of texture in the Photoshop studies.

    critty critiques would be that there doesn't seem to be much pencil work recently, I don't know if that's because you are lazy (like me) and don't scan your stuff in, or because you're not doing them... I really recommend working traditionally, perhaps coloring things that you have scanned in.

    if you want to do more character studies then I recommend Pose maniacs (google it if you haven't heard of it before.) to learn more about anatomy and proportion, but then thats just me.

    keep at it

    Mon Chat: Hmm, have to do some more pencil stuff...even though, many times, I'm just too lazy to scan them. When it comes to traditionally media, I prefer paint (oil and acrylic), but I rarely show them here because it never gets right when I take a photo of it :/ Also, I've tried Posemaniacs, really helpfull. If you look a few pages back, I did some gesture sketches, but I'll try to do some more some day ;

    Some random, mindless sketching in Photoshop, really, really quick stuff, but I'll post the enviros from EOW#100 later...

    @PieMonster: Kikket litt igjennom Bridgeman og Loomis fr, men aldri lest skikkelig. Skal prve tegne litt blyant i juleferien, men det er litt vanskelig motivere seg :/

    For now, I just have the enivoments from EOW#100. Not so happy as I could be...some of them were a bit rushed:
