The background crowd is looking good - best bit. The angel again has a padded look. If you concentrate on wear the clothes are taut on the body, you would lose that extra thickness.

I didn't think it was possible to be called an artist when you have nothing to say. It's like being a writer who publishes individual words as books and expects to be praised for it.

Gorgous new piece. Love the mood and colors. Too bad you didnt have time to put in some morel details in the face. Overall I realy like your work and your values. Especially that tree environment, which I really like. One thing I did notice is that you tend to not realy finish your images. Also make sure to polish a few up a bit more. But yea neat stuff. Keep it up.

Black Spot: Yeah, you're right...maybe it would appear thinner if I added more wrinkles too.

    glaudarien: Thanks

jordyskateboardy: Thanks man, I tried to put more details in the face, but she ended up looking like a male so I got rid of it I know I should polish my work more, I'm working on it

yes i agree that legs are tricky but actually they have some particular pattern which they follow. usually all leg muscles fall in form of tear drops and are divided into 3 layers. just understand this and u got it.

The back bit is great; real feel and atmosphere there. The red below the statue needs toning down a fair bit and the foreground needs a ton more detail. Blend the path to make it vaguer and stick some darker edges in near the front and you're ready to rock.

extremeillustrator: Yeah, I know the muscles of the leg, but that's usually not the problem. It's the position of the legs that bothers me, but just to be sure I reviewed the anatomy of the legs.

Black Spot: Thanks a lot for the tips!

I haven't updated for a long time now, but I've painted a few traditional paintings lately which I may upload any time soon.

    Head sketch:

    Black Spot: As you wish.

This is my most recent traditional painting. It's almost finished, just a few minor things I want to fix. Acrylics on canvas 40cmx50cm/16"x20". It's very hard to get a good picture of paintings and if anyone got any tips I'd love to hear them A lot of noise in the photograph, plus that you can't get the impaso-effect with a photo..

I have some other paintings laying around, but I will upload those later.

Love the garden piece! And the snow hill acrylic piece reminds me of a trip I had in Quebec on winter. A nice composition in it too.

lol That's what's great about being an artist sometimes, exerting godlike powers over the feeble creatures that inhabit your work. We can make them all walk on their hands and wear socks as blind-folds if we want, haha!

Erhm, anyways.. Lovely last piece! I have a couple of minor crits, one being that I wish the clouds were worked out a bit more (or softened together so they're less distracting) and maybe pay a little more attention to the color temperature of your cliffs to the left. Really think about where the light is coming from and what color that light is - if it's yellow light from the sun or blue atmospheric light from the sky. Keep up the good work!

It could be snow or sand - tough to call as they're both deserts. Camels are great to ride especially when it bolts under you when you're 7.

Cool stuff man. i really like that robot dude. Pretty neat design. Kinda old school. Wicked.
You should focus a bit more on blending. All you blending feels pretty hard atm. Use a bit of a softer brush to get a smoother look in some areas. Will greatly benefit your work. Keepitup.

Haha great environment. Little thing though. I got a bit "confused" by the ring structures. The one closest to us is smaller then the other one. It's possible off course.

I also must agree with jordyskateboardy, start blending and keep going !
