    Prismacolor pencils in Germany

For all German readers of this forum this might be a useful tip:

Today I discovered that the Sanford KARISMA pencils are sold at Boesner (http:// www.boesner.com) and they seem to be the same as the Prismacolors since the manufacturer is Sanford/Berol and they are made in the US. They have a waxy feeling and I have ordered original Prismacolors via eBay to verify this.

Maybe useful to some of you?

I will look at them, when I will go next week to Bösner. I´m not allowed to go alone - my girlfriend knows what happens when I´m getting near to an artist´s supply, a bookstore or a good reenactment supplier and have my creditcards with me

Think we´ll see us soon, Jester!

    Cool

    :p

So it takes a forum hosted in the US to talk to each other while only 15 minutes drive away from each other...

Yes, take her with you! I managed to spend way too much money there yesterday. It always happens...

    Hope to see you soon!

    that's ultra-cool, birgit

i tried getting my hands on a white prismacolor ages ago without the least bit of success. no one even knew what that is.

one day, we'll need to set up a list of art suppliers good for german artists. if the german community grows large enough, being on that list could give the store massive boosts and they'll start becoming nicer stores

    Talking Oh, my prophetic soul!

I got my Prismacolor Pencils today (it was 4 weeks for SAL shipping) and my theory was true: KARISMA Colour Pencils are Prismacolor Pencils. They even have the same code numbers for the colors! So, German artists, the quest for the holy grail has come to an end.

    :p

@gekitsu - Not yet, but I'm planning to get some via eBay - those offered will be red ones and it's an offer of two packages with each 12 pencils - way too much for me. Interested to buy a package from me if I manage to get them?

    what red? tuscan red?
if so, i'd love to have a pack as long as the price is reasonable. (i'm doing zivildienst right now, got the point? )

a friend of mine recently sent me 2 boxes of non-photo blue pencils but i rarely use them as they are rock hard (i still believe they are intended to stab editors )
i heard that the normal ones are softer and great for drawing.

@amphex - well, it seems they do (see above) but with another brand name, probably they did research that Prismacolor is already in use or at least reserved by another company.
