Anybody else really excited about Tablet PCs? I never knew I needed one until a few weeks ago when I saw a preview of Acer TravelMate C100.
For those of you who don't know, the C100 is basically a laptop with a Wacom tablet built into its screen (like a Cintiq). It runs a special version of windows called XP Tablet PC Edition which has some handwriting software built-in.
The only knocks against it I've read are a concern about the quality of its rotating hinge and its reduced color depth (16-bit) when used in landscape mode. It's supposed to be out in November sometime, priced around $2300 US I believe.
For the curious, here are some pics and articles:
Anyways, I was wondering if anybody else is tracking this technology. Do you know of any other tablet PCs that are using Wacom technology? Have you used a Cintiq before?

I want one!
I saw something (IMO) even cooler, though...a monitor which works like a tablet pc...you connect it to your workstation and can then carry it around the house (it's got a wireless LAN connection with the workstation)...so...it's like a portable flat monitor and a tablet pc (touch sensitive and so on) at the same time! I believe it will be released sometime next year.
