    hi

    Hi,

This is my final. I red all c & c and thanks all of you for that, i've made some changes.

I need to explain some things.
This airplane is representation of artist (Gangus), he "stopped working", girl is one of Glen's angels who, to quote Daestwen: "She looks like she's in pain" and she is because he died, came to take him to heaven(she is reaching her hand toward him). Background is actually divided in to, red-earth and blue-heaven.
I hope you will understand this, sorry for my crappy English.

    Another thing,
work is 2650 x 3800 pix @ 300dpi, so i am willing to upload original on any FTP server
and give authors rights for selling it, or something else, to help Glen's family,
    especially his son.
If this is already mentioned on this forum, please let me know.

    Thanks

    Mateja

p.s. This is my first time to post on this forum, i followed instructions but if i made mistake please let me know.

    In Memory of.........

I had to honor of corresponding with Glen via e-mail for a little while last year as I was writing my MA thesis on the art of Dungeons & Dragons. I can only say it again, it was an honor. As an artist, he was talented. As a person, he was open and responsive. Even with a full schedule, he still took the time out to discuss how a simple book like Dieties and Demigods changed his life. God speed Glen Angus.

I makes me sad to hear that Gangus died, even though I didn't know him - I am pretty new to this site - I have looked around a bit and I can only find nice words about him. This tribute contest was an great idea, I am sure he would have loved it.

In my tribute I tried to Gangus I tried to make my drawing look as much as one of his as much as I could.
Since I am from Sweden I drawed an Swedish airplane - JAS 39 Gripen (gryphon), this to make it a bit more personal.
The victory gal is armed with an Bofors AK5, an Swedish automatic carbine.

    Everything made from scratch.

    Edit:

    I remade the gal.

I hope he would have liked it.

Provisional final. No more time to do major changes, although I might be able to tweak before Sunday (mainly her saluting hand, where the perspective is not quite right). I experimented with a hard line round some shaded areas and it kind of gave an Art Nouveau Adam Hughes vibe which I liked.

Here's my final. It has a lot of flaws, but I learnt a great deal from it for which I'm grateful.

Hey guys, here's my take on the subject. I used the real photo of a chopper in my work because I pretty much suck in painting vehicles. Hope you guys don't mind. Just tell me if it's not ok I'll just delete my post.

Here's the link where I got the chopper.

Here's my finished tribute, tried to give it a more "cutout" feel as I felt that distinguished it from the others, though a round of applause for all participants!
