I was just amazed by the movie District 9.
I was expecting much less and I got a very satisfying
    surprise.
Like your studied, and I know the struggling story with
    the clouds.

Good stuff! Your oversized space man guy has a lot of form. I can see the improvement

Can we see more cloud practice? Maybe play with the opacity of the brushes or shaped brushes? I don't really know digital very well, so feel free to disregard my suggestion

Hey man ! Well, i have nothing to say, exept that i really support you on your journey to be a great artist ! you're on your way, doing good things and going forward ! you have a nice balance between creative stuff and studies ! What i'm repeating to everyone is to really think about what you do before doing it, before puting a brushstroke, think about light, about volumes, about light, because this is our biggest challenge as artists, we have to create a 3D world on a 2D surface, and for that, we have multiple things, such as light, colors, perspective, etc, so really think about everything when you study, and it'll become intuitive on your character designs and your creative stuff in general ! anyway, i wish you a happy new year ! it's almost time to party for me ^^ Keep it up !

Nice nice updates. I agree with kikindaface about the thinking process. Now, if I may give you a suggestion, try paint with long and smooth strokes in early stages... keep those strokes minimal. This way you'll see more clearly of how your thought is transferred to the surface. From how I see here, I think you caught up in brushing details too soon. Details are maze, mate! Without a solid base design it can be confusing Just my two cents, hope you don't mind.

nice work so far. I like the 3-d modelling up there. I have no idea how to go about doing that so its always impressive for me that people can teach themselves.

oh also really like the cloud study. Definitely going to do one of those mself.
