    Orc fest for all

    Hey all --

Been lurking here far to long without actually posting anything and as I'm currently revamping my portfolio I thought I'd post some images here as I go along. My hopes would be to create good enough artwork to generate some freelance commissions so I'd really, really appriciate some c&c I intend on going back to fixing stuff when I get some more perspective on the piece (it's fresh out of the oven so to speak).

Oh it's intentionally dark and lit for showcasing purposes; the 3d model will be created with an unlit bright plate~~

    More to come..

Tremendous skill here. I know you mentioned 3D modeling, but are they completely painted or was there a 3D model underneath? Looks great!

Chermilla - I wouldn't want to be headbutted by anyone Thanks for the encouragement!

ChaoticKnight - You're making me blush Nope these are just hand drawn directly in Photoshop, heck I didn't even use reference for this one (that will bite me in the ass later on). I'm gonna turn this into a 3d model eventually, currently working on the body concept. Thanks!

dkounios - Yeah gotta show thems orcs some love! Thanks and he'll be entering the third dimension some time later on yeah

Oh my, very nice. Hearing you made this from scratch in photoshop only makes it better! Hot-damn, don't you come near me or I 'll never get a job.
His nose looks a bit thin though, in frontal view. But I can live with that.

Let me guess, he's got two left hands but he's going to make his wife sushi dinner anyway tonight, right?

Very nice. Lighting is excellent. Only crit is the ears. I know that the tops of ears are particularly vascular and thinner than most parts of the body so they are often much more red in color. However the orc has primarily gray skin and so the pink hue is much too saturated for the color palette and even too saturated for a good deal of humans. Crank that down a notch or three and youll have a good piece on your hands.
