GeistDel- thanks, well it depends, for some, generally my larger pieces, I usually plan things out in my head and by the time i put it on paper I have a set idea of what i want and how its gonna look, with others I just play with shapes till something evolves and go from there although i try to keep an open mind, if something doesn't work the way i had thought then I'll change it or remove it totally.
    Hive_minD- thanks
    chrishly-

here are two quick environments, just practice as usual. I have like 4 others but they're pretty bad lol

heh heh yea they are a bit saturated, I got a little crazy with the overlay layers if i was gonna print them out or do something with them i'd fix it but they're just practice. Heres one of those bad ones I was talking about, i didn't really feel like painting but I forced myself to do something, it just seems dirty and things don't really work that well.

    Nice lighting!

Btw, are you painting everything freehand or are the layers tweaked afterwords?
And that last one is not bad! Be brave!

xbert- heh heh i have heard that few times I love color and i'm glad i've been fairly successful so far lol hopefully they'll get even better as I learn
Vigilandus- how much of a noob well I'd say get a few ref shots to practice from and focus on blocking in nice big shapes until you get a good composition going, its also especially important to keep values in mind with environments cause your dealing with a lot of distance and remember that the further back you go, generally the less amount of detail and saturation you should have.
Noukah- hi again lol thanks! wellll I tend to have a very traditional view so I try to get the color right the first time but lately i've been realizing how phenominal photoshop is as a post editing tool lol, but to answer your question, I don't usually tweek things after i'm done unless there are some major issues. also when i do have tweeking its usually done throughout the painting process...wait a minute..was that your question?

...anyway here's another I just did since my last post! I think i'm getting faster although i wasn't too clever with the design layout heh heh the next one will look totally different! i swear!
