Beautiful colour on the icy one. Maybe the lighted side of those pillars on the second one could be popped a little more?

    sourgasm- y thank you sourgasm
    D@niel-
alicelefay- thanks yea i'm happy with how the colors are turning out in the first one
L0rin- heh heh, well santa is much more than a present giver, he's also a gamer, a lover, and an ogre slayer, and his bag makes for perfect weapon storage
areve- well here are a few more then!

an update on two older pieces, and some progress for a piece i've abandoned like 5 times...but its far enough along that i might as well finish it.

jedininjaman-cool thanks for the comment jedininjaman
hunchbackmagee- thanks I think it looks much better than the old version so i'm glad I did it! still contemplating colors though,
areve- i'm trying to decide if i want to add in some figures or if I should leave as an environment piece,
Noukah- haha, well heres another from last night, even though I should have been painting something that will fit into my new portfolio... O.O
suprisingly the snowy landscape didn't take to long, I just painted in the values, threw on a color layer, put in some textures and accentuated the forms ...well it was a little more than that but anyway like i said not to long, about 2 sittings worth.
    aiRaGe-yep! thank you
Mischeviouslittleelf-heh heh, well heres another one!

so this one is probably my most inefficient piece yet! I pretty much rendered out the entire piece in gray scale and immediately after painted over all the details with color...what a pile of bubkes....o well I'll just have to pay attention to what I'm doing next time!

Awesome work in here. My suggestion would be to try and make all your brush strokes confident to lead to a more solid looking painting. Will be watching this one, really cool to see the progression!

Hah, I got to post 280 and said 'oooooh' out loud. Your environments are grand and just the way concept art should be.

hi james. I found this cool sketch in this thread: The Gaming Boy. It tells its story very well! Nice mood, maybe imperfect compo. What do the zombs write to the window? "Play for Ho.." Honor?! I had such a concept in my head once and I'm glad someone brought to daylight what I dreamt of Thx.

D@niel- haha thanks! still needs more work though and maybe some figs at some point.
    conte-thanks
Verehin,xobgob- awesome aye! cool I'll try to keep it up!
sourgasm-thanks, I have another overgrowth piece I'll be workin on soon, just gotta get some other stuff out of the way.
space-sprayer- great suggestion nick, I definitely need to work on that, I have a bad habit of going back over strokes to soften them which ruins the crisp confident brush strokes, anyway thanks
    Peter Berkovski-I will!
MsMaverick-heh heh, thanks for that though i think I could take them much further, I just gotta work harder!
rogerb-thanks for the pressure! haha I'll try!
    nazgool-you're welcome
Smarty-thanks I like greens, I probably should start creating pieces with some more complex color combinations though, looking back, i have a red piece, blue piece, green piece, haha
Hive_minD- well i've decided recently that I need to step things up cause my current skills just are satisfying me. plus its apparently not good enough to get into the concept field haha, so if you ever see my work slacking, feel free to call me on it!

an actual sketch!! feels kinda wonky and lopsided but I'll solve that in a bit, I'll post up the processes as I go for anyone that's interested, anyway...O and a quick side view of the bloated unicorn uh creature.
